A brief history of the magic:
On 13th April 2004 Ali met Janie and the two became friends through a shared love of Pennie Smith, the Rocksteady Crew, Chas'n'Dave, and all things weird and crap. Fast-forward to 2006 and--hey!--they decided that the world badly needed another female DJing duo, and now. Ali (English Rose and the yin to Janie's yang) brought the rock'n'roll, burlesque dancing, do-wopp girl groups, amazing hair, over-expanding boobs, and Janie (America's sweetheart and the yang to Ali's yin) put her obsessive love of weirdness, strippers, 70s reggae, people with bad manners, and English punk records to good use...We fell into the Void of Freakdom (Walthamstow), hung around in there for a while...and TA-DAAAHLINGS! The Poundland Dolls were born
