Powdered Cows are from Dorset on the south coast of the uk. Fronted by multi-instrumentalartist Martin Roberts, who was from 2005 up until April 2009 a solo artist of the same name, PowderedCows now exists also in a ten-legged five-headed Band formation. Influences can be heard in PowderedCows from delicate indie fractels such as Sparklehorse and Eels, and then jerking and fidgetting through jangly guitars and electric organs of The Doors and Joy Division while taking a similar headonistic approach lyrically as Syd Barret, and again Mark Linkous with attatched vocal comparisons of the great Daniel Johnston.
PowderedCows have their Debut album out this summer and are planning a Californian invasion for 2010.
Frontman Martin dabbles in the paranormal, paints, keenly studies wildlife and animal care, and is addicted to cups of tea and vintage instruments - all of which seep through onto the crushed velvet sleeves that he wears on his music.
