NEW ALBUM " THE CROOKED LINE" NOW AVAILABLE ON CDBABY AND ITUNES
Ok,
so I have some energy..maybe I write something here? Powder Wheel? What is that?
Joe seems to think of a powdered doughnut..I like that image. It just may be the logo for this band. And if you get tired of that, you can eat it!
I came up with the name when I was in Boston..my friend Matt Langlois (of The Welcome Matt) was trying to "build me up" some for this very nice girl we met in a bar there. Matt told her I was this "amazing song writer" from San Francisco. She asked me the name of my band, and at the time none existed. For some reason, I said Powder Wheel..I don't know why exactly, except that those two words go together nicely.
Powder Wheel..doughnut. Joe Heavey plays keyboards and has lots of good ideas. He and I have been in the S.F. music scene for a while. We also have a side project called SPLATT with Matt Langlois of the Welcome Matt along with our good friend Flemming Overgaard (Flemstar). You can find SPLATT's album "happy hour" on cdbaby and itunes too.
RJ Harrison plays drums, guitar and bass very well. RJ has that rare quality of writing guitar hooks that grow on you like vines the more you listen to them. RJ has played in a ton of bands and we're lucky our roads have risen, fallen, dipped and swirved to meet each other..we'll just have to wait and see where this powdered doughnut of a wheel is willing to take us. Our full length album "THE CROOKED LINE" is now available on cdbaby and itunes..or directly from this page!
