The Powell Trio is looking for a really good bass player that can learn all the songs and even sing harmonies. Candidates must be able to play a five string as well as the four string bass and understand the role of a bassist in a three piece band. Drugs and alcohol do not make a band great. A serious musician should not be playing a real cheap instrument. If you have great gear that is fine. We have an AMPEG SVT 4X10 and a POD X3 live for BASS. We can guarantee you will have a huge tone. No need to haul gear for an audition, just personal bass(es). Our live PA includes JBL and Yamaha Dual 18" sub woofers. We have lighting, multiple HD video cameras and recording gear. We own a small trailer to haul it around.
