Once upon a time, there was a guy, letting too many opportunities pass by whilst still having a burning desire to fulfil his musical destiny. Although not getting any younger this guy just didn't feel the need to grow up too much. Responsibilities grew and were taken, but there was still this feeling of being a boy just itching to express himself through his music.
Then one day it became very clear what was to be done and with no fixed "safety net" of a job or lots of money in the bank this grown-up boy changed everything in order to spark still further change, quitting his day job (well it was a night shift actually) and relocating to a tropical island to be with the woman of his dreams and carving out the lifestyle that he knew he deserved.
This boy/man went on to spend his days, writing songs, playing songs, recording songs, eating some very spicy food and enjoying a newly married life in the sunshine and occasionally the tropical rain
I am that guy. I am Rob and I'm The Boy @ Heart. I know that success does not come to you if you wait around, you have to create it yourself, but at the same time I just don't want to grow up. Not completely anyway. I'm happy to accept responsibilities. I take responsibility for my own actions, but if I'm not making music or spending my time in play then I'm just not living. That's me, now I'll let the music speak for itself.
This music is created for the purpose of inspiring. I have known deep down for years, but only really just started actually living by the philosophy that life is all about finding what you love to do then going out and doing it with all your heart. If you do, you will most likely find that it starts paying you a living and you end up spending most of your life playing rather than working for a living. I write most of these songs to help keep me on track and to remind me of the kind of mindset and attitude I need to keep succeeding and I'd love nothing more than for this music to have that same effect on other people too, so... feedback please and whatever you do... ENJOY!
