MySpace a place for friends

I have wrapped up most of the writing and planning (at least for the first record), and the probe has begun for remaining band members.

Specifically want military Veterans. Combat Vets preferred. Check blog for details.

Power Gild began spring '08 as a Priest/Maiden/Ryche tribute by some local veteran rockers. Despite all reasonable effort it just never went much further than a few fun rehearsals.

Which is too bad because the market for a set like that in the NW is huge. I have since learned a couple of other local bands are now attempting something similar, and definitely want to see them play.

Although the first record is written, it should be taken into account that I am a writer/singer/arranger and not a musician. With the exception of Eric's song I wrote into 'Distraction' awhile back, all songs were built using royalty free music and loops to prepare them for translation by real musicians.

Essentially what's posted here represents five possible production directions and I won't pretend to how they will gel best (whatever puts the most girls at shows, is my guess).

Although my gut compulsion is to replace 90% of the keyboards with two guitars and a cello, I am certainly open to counsel from the right producer.

The Geodesic Records: 'Geodesic' (Webster) is a concept trilogy, while 'Invirtual' is the first record whose songs are posted here. Sadly, I refuse to leak the actual story yet, although I think this demo is strong enough to apply to most people on a personal level if they choose.

Work on the remaining two records has commenced. The screenplay is in development. An artist is standing by to draw graphic novels for the collection.
