Pierre Pichon sound more like french pop, latino, swing and circus music.
Vavavoom is more a mix between gypsy swing and traditional new orleans jazz.
It's upbeat, fresh, great for dancing.
I grew up in central France up till my mid 20ies then moved to the USA in 1993. I guess at the time I had many influences from blues to funk to latin and jazz and later on gypsy jazz. I worked with different acts in the states and toured pretty much the entire country (47 states). I think being versatile is an asset for a musicien however it's important to create a style that defines and shapes a musicien.
I now live in New Orleans and work either with gypsy blue or Vavavoom.
New Orleans is one of a kind, a multicultural and polyethnic city, an unprecedented melting pot in which diversity greets creativity for the well being of an extraordinary community.
