Mr. Girl is the Self Defeatist Mustache Twist's Interests
Music
These are a sample of my "likes" and are artist's who have been in my current rotation: M83 // The New Pornographers // Sonic Youth // Jarvis Cocker - Pulp // Joy Division // The Boards of Canada // Momus // The Super Furry Animals - Neon Neon // My Bloody Valentine // Air// The Pixies // Crstal Castles // Macha // Apparat // Sparklehorse // Slowdive // The Magnetic Fields // Mum // Sebastien Tellier // Cut Copy // Serge Gainsbourg // The Chap // Ratatat // The Depreciation Guild // Beck // Black Moth Super Rainbow // Elephant 6 collective artists (Of Montreal - Olivia Tremor Control) // Ed Banger label artists (Justice - Mr. Oizo) // The Hood Internet // many many more, will add and subtract as they enter my rotation...
Honestly, I listen to a ton of music, it's about all I do; I either go dancing somewhere obscure, or sit and listen to albums where there once was tv (no need to list classics like Radiohead, Daft Punk, Bowie, or Prince, really who honestly doesn't like those?).
Movies
Movies with great conversation, movies that pay attention to scene composition, movies not afraid to exist as being neither singularly funny, dramatic, aggressive, or playful, at the same time...basically Buffalo 66.
Television
Via the interwebs usually, Venture Bros, Home Movies, Skins, The Office, Tim and Eric...I think that's been about it for a couple years.
Books
O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim, Fraction's Casanova, anything Paul Pope touches, Gaiman's Sandman, Adrian Tomine books (i.e. Summer Blonde), Jeff Brown books (i.e. I am going to be small.) Grant Morrison's Seaguy, Phonogram.
Heroes
People who are beyond irrational critique by others.

I didn't know Busy P was going to be at DEMF! That's exciting. He is right before Audion too. Did you buy your pass yet or what? Quit yer squawkin' and get on that if you haven't! I guess it doesn't matter if you buy it online at this point though since it'll be the same price there.
Thanks for posting that Make the Girl Dance - Baby, Baby, Baby vid. I loved the song, downloaded it right away. Passed the video on to my friend. It's making the rounds now, lol. Laid up today with back pain. Took the day off work. Hope I'll be healed up in time for DEMF!
Tour Detroit on Sat? The venue looks like its in an iffy spot, but nothing we haven't encountered before. We're used to partying in the ghettos of the D now! lol Going to Luna first of course. It was Nicole's bday yesterday so we're celebrating it then. Later!
I found you a pet monkey for your birthday. And by found I mean I found you this advertizement, not that I orered one for you. You were in my dream last night, but for some reason you were the bad guy which really shook me up.
