"Since the year 2000 I've experienced a great deal of pleasure working alongside many DJs who represent various sub genres of the global dance scene. This has also meant playing in clubs and festivals in Asia, America and Europe. There is nothing more satisfying as an artist than seeing a dance floor in bliss and to be a party to the excitement of a dancing crowd! Such uplifting experiences have greatly influenced my sax & flute playing, and the use of electronics and samples have become an important part of my own band performance and studio music.
Remixed+2 is an attempt to make these influences more apparent in my work. In cooperation with Therapy Records we have invited some of our favorite DJ's, remixers and musicians to bring some fresh vision to tracks taken from my albums, One Day Deep and Pyramid in your Backyard. Included are remixes by Mark Rae & Rhys Adams, Chris Joss, Gerd, Buscemi, Phil Martin (A.I.F.F. & Jazz Invaders), Kareem Raïhani, Maneesh de Moor, Antonio Ocasio and Jazz Juice.
Two brand new songs are also included: Yalda Night in collaboration with Hardsoul (DJ Roog) and Her Eyes Drink, made together with Kareem Raïhani. The result is 13 diverse tracks that range from subtle or heavy down tempo grooves to dance floor crackers, with jazzy, eastern and Brazilian vibes and all with the focus on the groove." Praful

Praful's music:
Praful is a breath of fresh air, an artist whose world-chill sound is making its way from Europe to the clubs and radio stateside. Composed and performed by Praful, in collaboration with producers-duo Adani&Wolf, his 2001/2003 debut release One Day Deep is a sensual and hypnotic collection of world music and electronic beats, featuring Brazilian samba, a dash of funk, chilled downtempo jazz and global rhythms. The first single Sigh held the 1 chart position for 3 consecutive weeks on Radio & Records Smooth Jazz airplay chart. People were hearing Praful, and as any artist could hope, they wanted to buy his music: One Day Deep reached Top 10 on Billboards Contemporary Jazz chart and Top 10 on Billboards Top Electronic Albums chart. Praful has arrived. The album features an international all-star cast of musicians including Afra Mussawisade, Ted de Jong, Adrian Elissen, Jose Lopretti and Brazilian sensation Lilian Vieira.
Prafuls first US tour hit the States in September 2003 in support of One Day Deep, with performances at the prestigious Catalina Jazz Festival, and billing as Discovery Artist of the Year on the Mercedes Benz Wavefest.
Developing further his warm and original crossover between Jazz, Electronica and World Music, Praful released 'Pyramid in your Backyard' in 2005. Next to Praful's superb blowing, percussion-based grooves are the driving force on this album, which was produced by the same team as One Day Deep. Guests include Indian singer Sandhya Sanjana, Brazilian singer Katia Moraes, Danish singer Sudha, Afra Mussawisade, Rene Dissel, Martin Denev, Serigne Gueye and Rasiko.
In 2005 Praful was support act for the Dave Koz US-summer tour and guest artist at the Dave Koz Jazz Cruise.

With his international band Praful continues to tour all over the world, with over 100 appearances to date.
About Praful:
A degree Jazz sax & flute from the 'Amsterdam High School of Arts / Hilversum Conservatory' gathering dust in his drawer, German-born Praful spends most of his time creating music - when not in the studio he's probably moving around our planet. His life and music are rooted in a spiritual quest, inspired by the teachings of Osho, Ramesh Balsekar, Eckhart Tolle and many others. He has visited India many times, following Bansuri (Bamboo Flute) classes with his teacher Hariprasad Chaurasia. He also has a huge passion for Brasil - its music, language, people and nature.
Praful has recorded and shared the stage with numerous artists and bands: Choramundo, Homenagem A Tom Jobim (w.
