Prague is essentially Alessandro Viccaro who writes all the songs, plays guitar and sings. He..s been recording under different pseudonyms (Birdy Num, Smou, Supervault..) since 1993 and his songs have always been characterized by a very lo-fi sound and approach to the music.
During the years, after numerous comparisons were made (Lou Barlow, Guided by Voices, Pavement, just to name a few), and countless tapes and cd-rs were released on Loretta Records, Alessandro..s style got more personal and in the year 2000, while living in London, he decided to form Prague with his brother Giuseppe helping on drums (just snare drum and hi-hat).
The following year Prague..s first full length, "I Own Your Favorite Song", was released on Loretta Records and it remarked the love for some american lo-fi/indie/country bands such as Pedro the Lion and Silver Jews.
Dark, melancholic and depressive, the cd got appreciations from the italian press and after Giuseppe called it quit, Giulio Calvino from the Candies joined on drums to record the second full lenght and play a few live shows. The following album, "You Hear the Song. And It Is Long Ago", recorded near Varese at the Sauna Studio, sees different guests from bands such as Blown Paper Bags, Candies, Encode, KC Milian, playing and singing in the new more rocking yet still melancholic songs whose approach and affinity is close to Pedro The Lion, Mineral, Codeine.
The author of the artwork is Rudee Penando (at the time employee at Southern. UK), the mastering has been made by TW Walsh. In 2004 Alessandro decided to come back in Italy for good. He launched his own DIY record label and distro Eaten By Squirrel, and then slowly begins to work at new stuff, playing occasionally gigs with the help of his friend Camilla (electronic, strange effects and noises). The new record is ready in summer 2006, it sounds more relaxed and less introspective than the previous ones, close to the early Lullaby for the Working Class and Willard Grant Conspiray.

I Pirate Love si formano ad Oslo nel 2003 e velocemente sono diventati una delle realtà live più eccitanti della Norvegia. Per fortuna non stiamo parlando dell' ennesima band in copia carbone dei vari Turbonegro, Gluecifer od Hellacopters, questi ragazzi a partire dal nome (ispirato da una canzone dei New York Dolls di Johnny Tunders) si dirigono verso tutt' altri lidi. Prendendo spunto infatti dalla scena sixties garage-punk (Sonics & Stooges su tutti) con l' aggiunta di slides surf e squarci psichedelici, infangano il tutto con toni scuri, marci e claustrofobici debitrici delle virate più borderline che il genere prese negl' anni ' 90. Attualmente in tour stanno portando in giro il loro primo long play, Black Vodoun Space Blues (uscito nel 2008, inizialmente, per la Kong Tiki Records ed ora ristampato sotto Voodoo Rhythm) titolo che già di per sè mette in chiaro le "volontà" del gruppo, pronto ad esprimerle appieno in quello che si pregusta essere uno show già capace di lasciare il segno.

Gl' Upsilon Acrux, quintetto di San Diego, ma con base a Los Angeles, sono artefici di un concentrato strumentale che si potrebbe ricondurre alle nuove rivisitazioni che sta subendo un genere come il progressive, privilegiando l'aspetto matematico ed altamente atletico della corrente, senza perdere l' immediatezza ed il piglio noisy che contraddistingue chi, come loro, ha intenzione di mettere in luce i lati meno accademici ed inflazionati di quel tipo di musica.La loro formula si è dimostrata con gl'anni più che convincente, tant'è che hanno avuto la possibilità di dividere il palco con artisti come i Boredoms, Ruins, Mission Of Burma, Don Caballero nonchè Orthrelm, Dillinger Escape Plan ed Hella, senza risultare mai fuori luogo grazie alla loro peculiare molteplicità d'intenti.Dal 2006 sono accasati presso la Cuneiform Records (un nome, una garanzia) che da' alle stampe, nel maggio 2009, anche il loro ultimo album Radian Futura, attualmente portato dal vivo con questo tour.
