   JANE IS DEAD's Blurbs
About me:
Some time later in the future, near the end of time, a parallel universe devoid of any semblance of reality was found in the end not to be real.
Or at least, it was all... extremely unclear.

We had learned to say anything.
We called things the opposite of what they were.
Time was measured by progress but things were deteriorating so rapidly that one felt time was going backwards.
We owned neither the world nor time.
We know that now.

Space and time, some quantum gravity theorists say, are most likely an illusion. The philosopher Augustine famously argued 17,000 years ago that space and time are creatures of insistence and the universe, born with it, not separately standing features of eternity.
"That's not the way the world really works anymore," the arrogant official argued. "We're an empire now, and when we act we create our own reality. And while you are studying that reality, judiciously as you will, we will act again, creating other new realities which you can study too, and that's how things will work out. We're history's actors, and you - all of you - will be left to just study what we're doing. People don't have the right or ability to define for themselves what's true."

He sees the future as something even more far-reaching.
"You have a choice. You can either create your own future, or you can become the victim of a future that someone else creates for you. By seizing the transformation opportunities we offer, you are seizing the opportunity to create your own future."

We don't have time today to cover simultaneousness, but we will be discussing wormholes: tunnels through space connecting distant points traveling in time, holes called Einstein-Rosen bridges and how gravity would slam them shut. When we went in one all we could hear was raging, crashing, thudding, and smashing from the flooded ruins of a campsite. Even this inordinately frightening experience, accurately predicted by the Man Above, was still frighteningly unclear.

Ha, ah, well, the way things are going I'm sure it won't be long before supermarkets are selling COUGHfin Joe Drops at the checkout.

That Lunar Park face down there is whacked, looks like it wants to eat you.
Faircloth

Apr 15 2008 12:06 AM

I should do that too - I just ate snakes for breakfast, bloody hell.

Apr 10 2008 7:12 AM

Yeah, I only like the "hey runner" bit too.

Ah, that used to happen to me a lot, I can't think what's changed since, only that I drink a lot of milk where I used to hate milk. That's it - germs hate milk. You're not Vegan, are you?
Anyway, I hope you are feeling better.

FAKE RABBIT REAL SNAKE
Yeah, but I'm already burnt out on that, Janey, I like Counters best - greatest suicide ballad since Loughborough suicide, haha

I am also sick as a pike, my waifish form can't take the drink.

Uh, I just bought it, listening to it now, brilliant!

Apr 6 2008 10:15 PM

Oh! I didn't know that had leaked. Man, three months ago I would have been on that in a flash, but at the moment I'm limited to what I can download in internet cafes.
I haven't even heard Superabundance yet (Young Knives are one of those bands I would defend with a sword)

Ah, yes, it is terribly hard to save on youth allowance. I'm sure it is a pain but it will pay off in the end.

Me too, I've said something similar before - it goes for Bloc Party, The Futureheads, Franz Ferdinand and Maximo Park as well. Their debuts were all excellent and then they decided to "grow up", there are some very good songs amongst their follow-ups but it's not the same. FF lost a lot of the dark edge, Futureheads lost the XTC-on-speed thing, etc.

Yeah, I've only seen a few episodes though, I keep meaning to get hold of it on DVD. Have you seen the film? I imagine it's pretty crap.
Riccardo

Apr 6 2008 1:43 PM

I'm looking forward to finishing also, but I'll take it day by day...

Plans for the future?... Well it's safe to say Uni and a course in filming is in the horizon, but not set in stone yet..

How about you?
Faircloth

Apr 6 2008 12:00 PM

Ah, that is brilliant. Yeah, England beats V Fest. I'll go one day but I can't see myself getting the cash together any time soon - minimum wage, no self control -_-

Yeah, I missed The Rakes - really annoyed, I can't listen to them now / their last album wasn't so good but I still remember the raw excitement their first brought on before Soulseek, unlimited broadband, and no social life combined to make me incredibly jaded.

Of course. Emma Peel SEX SEX SEX

no, damn, I'm forced to use a Linux which is not mine at the moment which is a pain which is why, I also I shut my hotmail account.

Hi Jane, been a long time hasn't it?
Well, life's good.. Not much to complain about...

How have you been?
Faircloth

Apr 6 2008 12:22 AM

Hey, Jane, I don't suppose you went to V Festival yesterday? I got hold of a ticket at the last moment, it was pretty amazing - the best part was being crushed against the barrier during Queens of the Stone Age. I am also a bit more fulfilled now that I have seen The Jesus and Mary Chain, though that was brought down a bit by the guy who kept screaming for I Hate Rock and Roll the whole set.

Opens involve getting the 'restaurant' ready in time for breakfast on one's lonesome, I can't believe people want to eat sausages at 6:30 in the morning. Or ever actually, I hate sausages.

Brilliant, I need to see the Key to Time stories again as I only remember two very well - Pirate planet and Stones of Blood. They were great.

Alas, I don't use MSN anymore (it's complicated)
Katieee.

AHHH, no! It's finished showing now, too. Alack, alay!
But... YES! Another Oscar Wilde obsessionist! The lists are growing!(Slowly but surely).
The Importance of Being Earnest is often on at different places, though ... NEXT TIME, I will recruit all Oscar Wilde lovers I know to dress up and go. Yes? Yes!
It was rather fabulous, unexpected and embarrassing as it was, yes. Such fun.

Insomnia is actually good, you just have to see the Norwegian original as opposed to the crumby American remake (ba-doom-tsh)
Anyway, me too! I've been doing opens this week which means I have to wake up at 4:30am. No sleep = DEATH, and it's been cold as an Ice Warrior's heart, really bad.
Ahh, other than that, I just don't know what to do with myself beyond drinking milk and listening to Bauhaus. Mm, milk.

Maybe I should just tell them I can't because I have to celebrate the rebirth of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ - LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

Feb 22 2008 1:38 PM

that's because i AM talkign to all your friends :P and also because yo udidnt reply to my comment ages ago so i assumed you were busy with schoolwork or something :) *HUGS* i miss you too!
year 12 is, well, year 12. Incredibly busy, incredibly tiring and also annoying.

i've never had this much lack of sleep as i have this week. I"m running on 9 hours over the past two days which isnt good for me, as you probably know :P

we should catch up something, i know that's a cured saying because it usually means it never happens but how about we get together during the next holidays because i realise that i have no life until after april because of Cabaret rehersals.

well, i'm off to bed im' haev trouble typing this as my eyes keep closing and i'm heachach-y.

LVOE YOU LOTS (L)
