"Its a lazy sunday afternoon. Construction workers covered in dust are
walking towards their dingy sheds after having their lunch to get some
rest after a hard days work, to get some respite from the sun. High up
in a small room, on the fourth floor, a group of guys are working on
making their own songs, working on spoiling others songs.
A fella in a green writes 23, in red, on the outside wall of the
apartment and walks in, to add to the chemistry of the band. As he
enters he gives a five to the person with yellowy fingers and opens
the door to the noisy room. There he sees guys playing guitars, guys
on mics, a guy on drums, girls sitting, guys standing. The floor is
covered with wires and cables, The air filled with chords and tobacco.
In between taking breaks to smoke, to fool around, they are practicing
for a show, which maybe next week, maybe tomorrow, maybe next month.
When that day comes you can be sure that there will be exciting energy
in the air. Sweat and adrenaline will drench the atmosphere as you get
closer to stage where these guys are performing.
If not for the show, they are practicing to get the songs right ,so
they can get into the studio and give a physical form for their
efforts, which they believe will be fresh and inspiring for the hindi
rock scene.
Formed at the end of December 2008, these guys go around by the name
of Pralayh."
