Prana is full of surprises. It's simply not the sort of place one expects to find adjacent to a Laundromat and a doughnut shop in a strip mall.
As we approached, the lackluster entrance prompted speculation about where we were headed, but as soon as we stepped inside, there was a communal sigh of relief from my companions.
This was more like it; an impressive bi-level space, enlivened by an extra measure of magic because of the sharp contrast with its worn exterior environment.

There's a small bar at one end of the floor, with couches and cushions for cuddling nearby. The overall effect is comfortable and cozy, the perfect setting for something fascinating in the way of food.
Prana, which opened in January, is part of a hot trend that doubles a high-end restaurant with a club. It's geared to luring those who might otherwise spend their money in Manhattan.
While dancing and singles prevail late in the evening, folks who dine early will be in their own little world where cuisine takes prec
