This used to be the homepage of the hardcorepunk-band "Preacher". Well, we broke up due to our shouting bass player leaving the band (no hard feelings between us) and so the rest of us starts a new project, called "Praiser" (yeah, we know that this is no regular english word, anyway, "metallica" isn't one, too).
The lyrical focus of Praiser will be on worship and our life with Jesus. Of course there are lots of other things we care about, social stuff, political things, daily life, but we decided to let this band exist only to praise christ and to share our thoughts on him and life with him.
It's NOT about telling you how to live your personal life or talkin' crap 'bout those who think different, even if we personally are convinced that Christ is truly the way, truth and the life. But we respect any other opinion and we'd like to hang around with anyone who wants us to.
We state this part so clearly cause we made the experience in the past that many people in the punk scene are very relaxed and open minded about christians as long as you are not homophobe, sexist, racist or stuff like that (we are none of this) and some of those have been friends, flat mates, bandmates, favorite bar-owners and more, but there are others who don't give you any chance to speak your mind and who kick you in the butt all the time and try their best to keep you out of the whole scene, always claiming that they speak for everyone and using powerful things like internet-shittalk which caused already some damage in our lifes.
So we are also a little tired of trying to get gigs or stuff in the "normal" scene which seems to be impossible as a christian band, no matter if you have political lyrics or if you sing about anything else.
So "Praiser" will be a band for christians in the first place but
if you don't believe in Christ and you can stand our lyrics anyway, you are welcome to listen to our stuff, too... of course.

We'll hopefully be able to play gigs in spring/summer 2010.
Im
März des Jahres 2009 brannte das De Prins in Essen aus. Jenes
Etablissement hatten Stefan und Michael bis dahin als eine
Verlängerung ihrer eigenen Wohnungen begriffen und fühlten sich
somit durch die notgedrungene Schließung desselben empfindlich
gestört. Das Lied "De Prins" produzierten sie, um den
Verantwortlichen Mut zur Wiedereröffnung zu machen und somit eine
Lücke im Essener Nachtleben möglichst schnell wieder zu
schließen.
Am Freitag, 20.11. legt der unglaubliche Doc unglaublich guten 7" Punk
im Skorbut auf, um das Ambiente abzurunden laufen Riot Videos in
Dauerschleife....
Am Samstag, 21.11. laden die Las Lobas und das Skorbut jeden
schlechtgekleideten Menschen ins Tante Otto zur Bad Taste Party ein. Am
liebsten mit Schnurrbart.....
