Polyethylene Pet is a conceptual art project originally started by Kimara Sajn (in a series of recordings with Erling Wold and Brian Woodbury in 1978) and later developed with Chris Diurni in 1980 for performances at the world renowned InterDada '80 dada art festival. In the spirit of Dada and future culture jammers, the project tackled issues such as the dialectic between audience and performer, art and entertainment, popular culture and media.

The music and performances themselves are often a mix of contemporary tape composition, ambient electronics, musique concrete and avant-rock music often with a strong ironic aspect.

Very unpredictable stuff - not for the squeamish!

+1 is the kinder, gentler but just as unpredictable cousin of Polyethylene Pet. The focus is more on music and the listening context. Consequently, it tends to seem more like a normal musical event. However, like it's cousin, it can quickly turn from accessible to very complex and difficult music. The influences tend less toward the abstract and include more friendly musical forms such as rock, jazz fusion and funk. The albums under this name are usually more rock in attitude and less conceptual.
