Under a cloud of 90's punk rock revival, The Preps formed in 1996 and hail from grand, old West Chester, PA. The group is composed of friends who have been playing music togther for over 10 years. The two brothers, Eric and Bryan Schwenk, harbor most of the talent in the band through years of musical lessons and dedicated practicing. However, both Fred and Breslin bring extremely unique talents to the band and help shape their creative pop-punk sound. Their sound is most derivative of the second wave of punk inspired by the West Coast sound coming from Epitaph and Fat Wreck Chords as well as Vagrant. Their fast beats, harmonizing vocals and shredding solos create a tight sound that feels and sounds familiar, but you can't quite put your finger on it.
So, here they are on the verge of 2010 still delivering their unique punk rock sound at a bar near you. With no end in the near future, expect more new show and new songs year after year.

The August 10th show set attendance records...that's all I'm going to say...except that it was all very well played...very relaxed...yet powerful...and then the cops came...twice...*grabs collar with pointer finger and inhales loudly*...
Not since the ground breaking punk rock of The Who in the late 1960's has there been such a high-energy technically proficient show as that witnessed at the Eagle's Home's in Downtown Dub-C last night...
See you April 18th at Rex's w/ The Boils and The Queers...
