Silverchair and anything associated with the brilliant Daniel Johns, Guns N' Roses(the original), The Doors, Avril Lavigne (I'm not ashamed to admit it), Green Day, The Killers, Jewel, Steve Burns(Blue's Clues just isn't the same with that Joe guy), Evanescence, Bif Naked, Johnny Cash, Metallica, Pink, old school No Doubt (Tragic Kingdom kicked ass),
Batman Begins, The Dark Knight (when it comes out I know it'll be awesome!) It and pretty much anything by Stephen King, except the Green Mile, Interview With The Vampire, Blade Trilogy, Friday the 13th Series, Face/Off, Pretty much anything involving John Travolta, One flew over the Cuckoo's Nest and most Jack Nicholson flicks, most pixar movies especially Monster's Inc., Natural Born Killers and anything with Juliet Lewis in it, I really liked the movie Stay Alive, but mostly because Frankie Muniz totally gets mauled!
Canuck games, Family Business, Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park (Timmy!), American Idol (There's none better than Kelly Clarkson Baby!), sometimes I like to watch Made on MTV, but I hate AJ and the rest of the MTV lackey's so sometimes it's hard
Anne Rice Vampire books or Witch books, but not her other stuff, Stephen King books, anything I happen to write, Jonathan Kellerman books, honestly though, if you put a book in front of me not only will I read it, but I'll probably like it as well, one of my favorite books of all time is Ralph S. Mouse. Obviously, I am a horror lover, and I'll read anything that might remotely scare me, but I've found through extensive research, that it's very difficult for books and movies to scare me. I find many disturbing, but I can't really think of any that 'scare' me. If you have any suggestions than drop me a line.
Woohoo! It begins! My short story "The Coffin" has been published on The Talking Crow website! Check it out and tell me what you think!!
You can also find anohter of my short stories on The Talking Crow. It is called "Make Me Laugh". I hope you'll check it out and help spread my dislike for clowns...
I am a married father of a beautiful daughter named Hailey. She's two and wonderful. I work as a front desk clerk at a small hotel in Victoria, and I have a diploma in hospitality management. I am also an aspiring writer and have completed two books thus far, and am close to completing a third. Most of my stuff is about vampires, but that doesn't define who I am. I am into vampires and gothic stuff, but I am much to down to earth to let this interest envelope my life. I also like to play the guitar, but I'm not very good yet. Maybe some day. I don't ever plan on being a successful musician, it's just a hobby. My real goal is to become a successful writer. I'm trying to find someone to help publish my book, but it's not quite done yet. If you can help, contact me. Other than that, I stay home a lot with my wife Corrine and my baby girl. She also likes the guitar and will be a rock star some day. In her spare time she can run the hotel I plan on owning. You can view her pics with the rest of my pics.
My Pet Peeves in life are: "Heroes" who rely on super-powers, hence my hero Batman. I hate fakers, being told what to do, not being able to sleep as much as I'd like, the fact that I suck at playing the guitar, being broke, the fact that there aren't more hockey games during the day, since I work evenings, Sidney Crosby (I hate him) and I'm sure there are more, but what do you care?
Santa, Batman, Matt Cooke, Trevor Linden, Jewel, The Joker (I'd kick his butt), I'd really like to meet Stephen King and Anne Rice (my two favorite and most respected authors), and although I have met Anne Rice and got her to sign my copy of Pandora, I'd like to sit and chat with her, Daniel Johns,
I'd also like to meet and make out with Amy Lee from Evanescence
By the way, Bif Naked rocks the planet!!
Kendra is a girl like none other. Awakening with amnesia in a filthy alley in Cancun, she's discovered by the man of her dreams. Griffen is a dark and mysterious stranger, who awakens her with the power of his blood.
Zindy is a gothic insomniac, who spends her nights on the streets with her close friends. Something about Zindy gives her the power to see things that others can't, and she is soon dragged into a world of murder, corruption and Vampires.
Kendra's journey to discover who she is takes her to her home town, where she discovers not only who she is, but finds there's more to the truth than meets the eye. But is she ready to accept the truth that is thrust at her?
Brian O'Connell is a wealthy businessman. When people around him start turning up dead, questions start to be asked. Too many questions. When his daughter escapes captivity, he knows she will be coming for him. Is he prepared to defend himself against his own daughter? And can he survive the onslaught brought on by the public and even worse, by the powerful creatures whom he has harmed?
Together with a cadre of friends, Zindy and Kendra must find away to survive through the deception of the mortal world, and the power of the immortal.
There is a phobia for nearly anything you can think of, from what many would consider fairly normal, such as Acrophobia- Fear of heights, to what some might consider mundane, such as Pteronophobia- Fear of being tickled by feathers. No matter what the phobia, they can all cause certain general reactions out of people. Many people admit to freezing and being unable to even flee from the cause of their phobia, others say they will simply run and not look back.
The short story collection "Phobia" is an attempt to tackle these phobias, whether they be common place or abstract. Many people simply won't be able to read something about their worst fear or phobia, but thrill seekers might do the exact opposite. I think the main reason I'm putting this collection together, is to try and scare myself. I am one of those people that intentionally tries to scare themselves because there is a certain thrill associated with being afraid. I don't seem to have any normal phobias. many things that terrify the hell out of ordinary people don't seem to bother me so much.
Phobia Samples
The Coffin delves into one of the most common of all fears, and is surely to be included in the Collection "Phobia". It follows the path of a young girl who awakens to her find herself trapped in a coffin. Now knowing how or why she is where she is, we follow her on the path to figuring out the truth behind her captivity.
I don't like clowns...so I kill them...need I say more?
The Speech is an ironic story that follows yet, another very common phobia, public speaking. Through the course of gaining the courage to follow through with what is expected of him, Kevin becomes the victim of a truly unpredicatable event.
In Flames was originally written for one person, my sister-in-law Colleen, who professed a fear of...well...maybe you should just read the story. It explores the world of fire and the incredibly mysterious world of spontaneous combustion.
Aunt Kay's Dolls explores the phobia of dolls, also known as Pediophobia. It is a chilling tale of suspense, and continues on past this original tale, to chart the events that follow this original Aunt Kay's Dolls.
The Cat takes on a few fears, namely that of cats, go figure. What starts off being a scorching day in a small Arizona backyard, turns into a nightmare the family will never forget.
Hey Chris! I'm not doing too bad. Been spending a lot of time at work lately but hopefully that will end soon. It's wearing me out! Had a good Halloween, now I have to wait for Thanksgiving...then Christmas. It won't stop until next year I'm afraid. Hope all is well with you and your family.
