Hey guys just letting you know we are playing @ The Brunswick Hotel next Saturday the 25th July. We are on at about 9pm and its free entry too! Love to see you guys there:)
Oh cool, shame you can't make the toff... The Ruby's show should be pretty cool. Not too sure on the details, we're on at 9, playing a support slot and there's a door charge. i think it's $10. Come down anytime before then and we'll chat! see you soon. Tim.
yeah for sure. would love to come and check out a bit of 'press colour'. hmmm.. if i did have a band. that is a hard one. i like so many genres. i love jazz. but then i love alternative rock as well. haha. i only sing in public at church and kind of see it being that way. bands are so hard to get together. and getting a band that is passionate about music is even harder. that def has been the stuggle with finding a band. i do love brooke fraser though. how did you guys get together?
oh no, not another one. gonna delete elephant wonderland in a minute. download the EP and let me know your thoughts. all written and recorded over about 3 hours. it's been a productive weekend. good luck on your exams!
haha..no..don't be sorry! If i had a band i am pretty sure i couldn't help but talk about it all the time! I def hope to have one one day.How long have you guys been "press colour"? Gig sound good. july 31st seems so far away! i have so much to think about up till then!
oh cool, thats good to hear! quality recording make all the difference. i think people expect to hear a certain level of quality these days. i didn't answer your question earlier... the acoustic tracks are from an ep hugh and lewis did in '06, it was recorded at home and mastered at edensound in sth melb -tim
haha. yeah, positive mysteries was good times, we'll definitely do more when we can. The cultural exposition is our brand, yeah. trying to do something different with the comedian and some classical music going.. trying to get some silent films played during the night too. we'd love to have some drinks with you guys and chat about the future! how is the ep coming?? is 'surfin' movie' from it? ...sounds great.
it's true, i leave shows to go play guitar until the wee hours of the morning. just trying to play a show at the moment, doing demos, seeing what we like, but i think we'll probably end up taking some time and doing a proper cd by the end of the year if all goes well. speaking of which, i'm keen to hear what ends up on the much anticipated Press Colour debut. Hows the process going?
hey doods, fuck i thought that was a serious comment for a sec, until i remembered i hadn't commented you, and then i checked and ben hadn't either (well, he did like a second ago haha). but yeah, nah we had every intention of giving you guys feedback, but when alex sent us that comment asking us to check it out, the internet fucked itself halfway through the song, at least one of us was drunk and we were about to go out haha. and then we obviously forgot after that, because we're terrible human beings haha. just had a listen to sufin' movie then though. gotta a great vibe to it, and it builds up really subliminally. question, are any of those guitars backwards? or was all that kinda thing done with the DL4? and i love the intensity of those fucked up guitar sounds a the end, ish very coowal! recording sounds good too, kudos alex. mixing = bellisimo! anyway, sorry dudes haha take it easy!
guys, surfin movie sounds great, it relaxes me. i think i've told leigh this before, but when i listen to you guys, it just makes me want to write songs, it's great stuff
look i am not sure if it is memorable but you did mention it a few times. all i can remember is you going "press colour" about a million times which reminded me of city and colour. haha. anyway good stuff. i am liking it though.awesome voice!
