NEW CD "OUTLANDISH" IS NOW AVAILABLE
First of all a big THANK YOU to all of you who turned up to the launch gigs, it was great playing some of the new songs and we hope to be playing all the others at some gigs in the new year. We were really pleased that so many of you took advantage of the offer of bringing an old Cd for a half price new one!
So the new Cds are now in stock and you can buy them from Vox Pop very easily. They cosy £10.00 and that includes postage. Best way to pay is probably via Paypal. You can pay to the damian@voxpop.demon.co.uk address. Alternatively you can send a cheque to Vox Pop. Please contact us on here or via the above email address to get an address. Some people prefer to send cash which is fine, but it is your risk so wrap it up carefully. Anyone wanting to pay in other currencies, please contact us for a price.
We will be soon be sorting out the likes of itunes and spotify as other ways in which you can download tracks, if you prefer to do that.

OUTLANDISH challenges the way that some right wing types moan about "foreigners" and trying to keep their culture "pure" but then go home to tuck into a kebab or curry, around their christmas tree whilst talking a language that mostly comes from Italy, Germany and France!
We are really excited about the album, its got loads of big chorusses for you to sing along to, loads of energy, radically re-written takes on some of the oldest ballads, stories, dance rhthyms, and hopefully a great live feel. It might not get us in to the Radio 2 Folk Awards, but hey!
So we hope to announce a few more dates for the new year. If you have a venue or know of one that would be interested in having us to play, then get in touch. More news on that soon.

You can also buy CD albums by Damian and George through us. THE RIVER WHEREVER by Damian is played on the dulcimer aned hurdy gurdy and has appearances by all the members if the band. The CD costs £7.00. George has a shiny new CD out with his duo FIDDLEBOX, and has some wonderful performances of traditional welsh material as well as new compositions and songs from him and Helen on fiddle.
Oh and there are new old-style "DANCE CRAZY" t shirts available for 8 quid inc pp. red and black on white organic, ethically traded shirts.

Its been a while and we thought it was about time we updated you on what we've been up to. Our debut EP Little World is now available at our gigs and will soon be available from our myspace and facebook pages, you will also be able to download it from itunes, but we don't have a release date for this as yet.
To celebrate the fact that we have now reached 25,000 plays on myspace, we are giving you a free MP3 of Rockabye Baby. All you have to do is send your email address to queen.elvis@yahoo.ie and we will send it to you.
We have spent the last year rehearsing with a full band and are now ready to bring it on the road. You can get a look at us when we appear on Balcony TV this week with the full line up. They include one off special events from Oxfam Records, Old Orleans and The Global Cafe and Fringe themed versions of the towns host of regular music nights like Bohemian Showcase at Deja Vue and Wicked Boy Promotes at the Face Bar. Look out especially for the Accesible to the Max DJ night at the Global Cafe which is run by COMET, an organization run by and for adults with learning difficulties
Theres only 7 days till the print deadline for the Reading Fringe Festival programmes which will be distributed to the 20,000 early arrivals at the Reading Festival Campsite and also industry and media types staying in the towns hotels with nothing to do until the main festival starts. So, if you are running an event between 21st and 27th August please consider adding it to the the Fringe roster. Together the events will have more impact.

Damian Clarke; who is the lead singer and songwriter of celebrated "Rogue Folk" veterans PressGang; will be appearing together with Finnian McGurk at a charity fundraiser for the Weldmar Hospice Trust and Rosetta Life at The Prince Of Wales, Park Street, Weymouth, this Saturday 18th July – please come along, I think you’ll be impressed!
