Today we begin the global rollout of the new Myspace, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Let’s open by saying that we wouldn’t be anywhere without you. It’s your passion, creativity and energy that drives Myspace forward and makes it an exciting place to be. That’s why we’ve designed the new site with you and your interests in mind.

We know you’re all about entertainment. Not only do you love discovering new bands, watching exclusive movie trailers and clips, keeping up with your favorite celebrities, and playing games, but you like to share these experiences with your friends and likeminded people. Today Myspace announces a partnership with People’s Choice Awards 2011, the only major awards show where fans completely determine the nominees and winners. This will be the second year that we team up to add a social layer to the show allowing fans to vote for the nominees and winners at www.myspace.com/peopleschoiceawards. During the broadcast, Myspace will be integrated on-air enabling fans to visit the site for more information and interactivity. Additionally this year we’ll be holding an exciting contest for users where they can assist the house photographer on the red carpet of the People’s Choice Awards 2011.

The People’s Choice Awards will be hosted by the super talented Queen Latifah on CBS January 5, 2011. Throughout the broadcast as the winners are announced their Myspace URL will appear on the chyron allowing fans to visit the page to get all of the updates on their favorite stars and share content with their friends across various networks.

Starting today, people everywhere will be able to vote to decide on the nominees in music, movies and television in 40 different categories. The top 5 picks in each category will become the nominees for this year’s show and voting for the winners will begin November 9th. On the official Myspace profile for People’s Choice Awards fans can interact with others by sharing videos and talking about their favorite picks for the show! Visitors to the site will also be able to vote on fun polls related to all things entertainment.

MySpace recently launched a brand new, free iPhone app called Drawler that we think you’re going to love.

Drawler is a fun, photo styling app that lets you draw, color or add stickers, art, words and more to your mobile photos. Simply take a pic from within the app – or use an existing photo from your phone’s photo gallery – and start styling away. When you’re done, Drawler lets you easily share your work with friends on Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter, or by email. And did I mention that it’s free??
