Hey! It's me and my fabulous talented cast! "Noises Off" - what a show!
Heroes
Here is a Hero.
I wrote my first play this year. It was called "Touching Art". The heroine and protagonist of the play was "Magenta" - a sweet, strong, free spirited, impulsive and magical character. Little did I know at the time that I had written a play about Meghan Doggett. My friend Gretchen teaches Drama at the local College, and sent Meghan to me saying, "She's a pixie with the heart of a warrior. " - She was a dream! she was so perfect in the role and a wonderful person to be around. We all fell in love with her. She fit in perfectly with this crazy eccentric theater family.
Just one week after the show closed, she died a hero, trying to save the lives of some young people caught in the rapids of the Tumwater.
Meghan shone so brightly you could not look away.
We are all crushed and our hearts are broken.
In this clip you can see a little of her sparkle. It was just a little afterglow gathering on the stage after the show - just two weeks before she died.
