PRESSURE CONTROL is the ambitious and much promising new project of Vomito Negro co-founder Gin Devo (Voice/keyboards/programming) and was founded in 2002. After spending months in the studio Gin Devo his keyboard player Manie Gance decided it was time to come in the open with Pressure Control.
It didn’t take them long (actually it was a their debut concert) to draw the attention of people such as Daft Records manager Dirk Ivens (The Klinik, Dive, Sonar, Absolute Body Control) and the organisers of the renown Belgian Independent Music Festival who all immediately saw the potential in of this band. Daft Records singed Pressure Control and released de their debut album Vamp (2004) and in the same year they where invited to play at the 3rd edition of the Belgian Independent Music Festival (with a.o. Ah Cama-Sotz, Parade Ground, Sonar, Trisomie 21, Portion Control & Aroma Di Amore), where they had no problem to get 800 attendees shake their ass off and have them shout for encores.
On their debut album Vamp (2004, Daft Records) Pressure Control brings us songs carrying trancey modern electronics with penetrating growling vocals. Being definitely one of the most promising new EBM/electro projects from Belgium and for sure a very solid addition to the Daft Records stable.
Just when everything seemed to go well for Pressure Control Gin Devo suffered a major blow due to the sudden death of keyboard player Manie Gance on Christmas day 2005.
Today, PRESSURE CONTROL is back!
After a period of mourning and some extensive studio work for other projects Gin Devo decided to reboot his main project Pressure Control.
New tracks are being recorded and label negotiations to release new material are in progress as we speak.
Meanwhile Peter M. aka BORG joined Pressure Control and will take care of live percussion, sampling and electronics.
Pressure Control mastermind Gin Devo ensured us that new tracks and live sound will be harsher, harder and stronger then ever before.
PRESSURE CONTROL is back! Harder and stronger then ever before!
