PRESTON'S BIO:
Preston Bowman grew up listening to The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Buddy Holly, Madonna & Cyndi Lauper. His grandparents would always ask him to dance and sing for them, and his parents never had to. A natural entertainer even at the age of 4 (though at that age, it’s deemed troublemaker) has always managed to bask in the spotlight in one form or another. In high school he was voted “Best Dancer”. “I can’t help but dance to a song I like. I was the only guy who would dance at the dances, and because I could dance, people would gather around in a circle and watch. I was voted Best Dancer along with an actual classically trained ballerina, talk about pressure! All I did was freestyle. It was fun.” In the senior variety show Preston was originally going to perform a live song but opted not to because that’s what everyone was doing and he wanted to be different. Instead, dawning an eighties wedding dress, curly blonde wig and veil, he comically did a drag impersonation of Madonna’s “Like A Virgin”. He received a standing ovation. “I’ll never live that down. Even today when I run into people from high school they’ll say ‘I still remember that Madonna skit and I laugh’. The video even gets requested from time to time at parties I throw!”
During Preston’s college years he performed his own material at the college café and entered in a couple of talent competitions winning various awards. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minored in business & marketing. Right after graduating Preston released his first album “Roll The Dice”. “Roll The Dice is about identity and making choices in life. This ranges from sex, break ups, rebounding, blowing off steam and learning from past mistakes without regrets. Life is a cycle and some of it is not always able to be controlled.” The leading track “Single Sexy” was regularly rotated on IndieRhythm radio and a music video was produced and directed by Megan Earhart, which is available to be viewed on Youtube and posted on Preston’s various sites.
Preston is currently working on a new album and preparing to take the world by storm by securing venues to perform live!
