I’ve made music (live and recorded) with numerous bands/projects over the years : BIG HAT, MY SCARLET LIFE, SCARLET LIFE, POINTY TEETH, and am now making (live and recorded) music with KARMA SUTRA and PRESTON KLIK’S RITUAL, plus DJing. Music is still important to me, but creating sacred creative events with my wife Emily is very important too.
I’ve been doing a lot of recording in a few of styles (global to dance, chill to trance). If you enjoy/download my music, that will make me very happy! And I’ll record more tracks and make them available. Thank you for supporting creative music.
Here are short descriptions of each track.

ELEGBA (feat. TIOMBE) is lots of fun! An uptempo ethnic dance track with lots of cowbell, featuring TIOMBE on African vocals.
HARE RAMA (feat. AMI) is a wild one! Driving synth growls propel KARL SACKSTEDER’s didjeridoo, AMI SARAIYA’s trippy vocals, BARRY BENNET’s percussion, SCOTT SCHENKE’s lapsteel, and a bit of NATALIE’s cello. Hang on!
OPTIMIST’S DAUGHTER takes a nice up-tempo journey down a sun-lit road. Guitar by AMY SPINA, some keys by EMILY KLIK.
SENSORI (w/intro) goes to darkly beautiful places, places full of exotic fragrances, places that sometimes stop you in your tracks to stare at miraculous spiritual sights. ERIC REMSCHNEIDER (cello), SUNNY SINGH (“sensori”), TUCCI (hammered dulcimer), RUPERT GOSWAMI (ethnic vox).
SENSORI (w/o intro) Ditto the above, but gets right into the groove w/o the spacy intro.
SHANTI (feat. ANITA) evokes the funky sacred. Indian vocals by ANITA AYSOLA, longing lapsteel by SCOTT SCHENKE.
SNAKECHARMER has a very odd/funky/melodic groove! An ethnic excursion with RUPERT GOSWAMI (ethnic vox).
TATTOO is named that because I wrote the track for different performers to “put their mark on” it by doing “solos” over the music. Which they did brilliantly. In order of appearance : TIOMBE (soul vox), JASON KEPPE (sax), AMI SARAIYA (vox), ERIC REMSCHNEIDER (cello), VALLERY BROWN (vox).
XIA is shaped like a dreamy brontosaurus - thin at the front, very thick in the middle, thin at the end. Where it starts is not where it goes. Where it goes is not where it ends, and it let’s you down gently. BEN HEISE (didjeridoo), TIOMBE (ethnic vox), TONY ZATOR (jazz trumpet).
