The North West's top rockin' club is on the move after 11 1/2 years, yes folks Preston Rock 'N' Roll Club is on the move as The Deafway Centre has been sold for property development. Organisers Bob & Gaz only found out two weeks ago for definate that the venue was closing at the end of May, they had been lead to believe that they would be there till the end of the year. The final rockin' night at Deafway is Sat 10th May with The Crown Top Kings and Dj Poor Boy Paul.
After a frantic search to secure a venue which could accommodate all our dates for this year so as not to cancel/re-arrange bands etc Bob & Gaz are pleased to announce that they have got a new venue with a better stage and a lot bigger dance floor. The New Central Club, St. Mary's Street North, Preston, PR1 5LG will be the new home for Preston Rock 'N' Roll Club, the opening night at this venue will be on Sat June 14th featuring 3 piece sun rockabilly/early R'n'R band 'Strabler' this Manchester based band of seasoned musicians are Ian Parkinson (vocals/rhythm guitar) Paul Murphy (lead guitar) and Ged Fern (double bass) and an opening offer of only £5 admission.
Bob & Gaz would like to thank everyone who has supported them over the last 11 1/2 years and hope you all enjoy the new venue because without you great people there wouldn't be a rockin' scene in Preston.

happy new year everyone, here is the flyer for the first of this years rock n roll nights at preston rock n roll club.
the band is jesse james & the outlaws and the dj is the cheshire cat. a great nights rockin' entertainment for sure.
the venue has changed to the lonsdale club which is situated at fulwood hall lane, fulwood, preston pr2 8db. it is has a great function room with a great stage, cheap beers etc. plus there is an ample sized car park which is off the road and it is in a great area so owners of classic cars & bikes can leave them unattended with no worries. it is also well situated for all three motorway junctions .
i hope everyone can make it on the 24th and we can start off the new year at the new venue the way we intend to carry on so your support as usual is much appreciated.

This is Preston Rock'n'Roll Club's Myspace. A premier North West club that has been running for over 10 years. Lovingly looked after by your welcoming hosts Gaz and Bob, who have been into the scene for more years than they would care to mention.

There is a happy mix of Rockabilly and Rock'n'Roll brought to you via the D.J's Cheshirecat, Crybaby, Gaz and Neil and other guest D,J's as and when.
The club holds regular monthly events, with top rockin' U.K. bands such as: Slim Slip and the Sliders, Jack Rabbit Slim, Darrel Higham and the Enforcers, The Crawdads, Space Cadets, Hi Voltage, Blue Flames and many many more.
There is free car parking with CCTV. A top of the range clothing and rockin' memorabilia stall. Decent prices at the bar, and reasonable entry cost.

Hi Guys, I have some info for anyone stuck in snow bound Scotland looking on this page wishing they were in Preston and really wanting to hear some good rockabilly.
