The band PRICE began in Miami Beach, Florida when a group of brothers from a musical family decided to join up and play music around town. They shared a love for the classic records of the 60's and 70's by artists as diverse as Stevie Wonder, Can, Gilberto Gil, Nick Drake, and Michael Jackson. The goal was to try and fit all of those influences into one package. They got some gear and some songs, recorded a demo and started playing in earnest. They quickly gained notoriety in South Florida due to their high energy performances and thoughtful songwriting and eventually found themselves showcasing at the South By Southwest music festival in Austin, TX. This brought them to the attention of many major record companies and in the end they agreed to sign with Intersocpe/Geffen Records.
The band has since done several well recieved shows in Hollywood and already contributed to a handful of movie soundtracks and compilations. PRICE is currently based out of Los Angeles. The band consists of brothers Chris, Mikey & Corey and drummer Charles Streeter. They recently finished recording their debut album here in California with producer Tony Berg (Aimee Mann, Phantom Planet, Michael Penn, Ted Hawkins).
