About me: Pride for Youth is a project of the Long Island Crisis Center that was established in 1993 to serve as an advocate and service to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth living on Long Island. In 1995, PFY opened the Coffeehouse – a safe, friendly, alcohol-free space where LGBT youth and their straight allies come together every Friday night to make friends, have fun and get help if they need it. PFY also provides a multitude of other services including counseling, support groups and community education. Since 1993, thousands of youth have passed through PFY’s doors.
Who I'd like to meet:
In early 2006, PFY established the Alumni Group to help former participants stay involved with the organization and maintain the network of friends they made while attending our program. This Myspace page was established to allow former participants to stay in contact with each other over the web. If you would like more information about the Alumni Group, please contact Mike Zaleski @ mzaleski@longislandcrisiscenter.org
