Fr. Frank Pavone is one of the most prominent pro-life leaders in the nation. He was born in Port Chester, New York and has been active in the pro-life movement since 1976. Cardinal John O'Connor ordained him to the priesthood in 1988. Fr. Pavone did parish work and taught in seminaries. In 1993, with the permission of Cardinal O’Connor, he became National Director of Priests for Life. In this full time position, he has traveled to all of the 50 states and to five continents, preaching and teaching against abortion and helping other priests to do the same.
He conducts seminars on pro-life strategy and is regularly invited to speak at national and international pro-life gatherings. Fr. Pavone appears often on national programs such as Larry King Live, Good Morning America, The O'Reilly Factor, and other shows on all the major networks. He is quoted in papers such as the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times. He is seen daily on EWTN and heard on Vatican Radio. His publications are distributed worldwide. He was with Terri Schiavo in her final moments and was an outspoken advocate for her life.
Under Fr. Frank's leadership, the Priests for Life staff has grown to 50 full-time employees.
Blessed Mother Teresa asked Fr. Pavone to address the clergy of India on the life issues. He has addressed the pro-life caucus of the United States House of Representatives, and was asked by the Vatican to help co-ordinate pro-life activities throughout the world as an official of the Pontifical Council for the Family. Norma McCorvey, the “Jane Roe” of the Supreme Court’s abortion decision Roe vs. Wade, called Fr. Pavone “the catalyst that brought me into the Catholic Church.”
In 1999, Fr. Pavone was named among the Top 100 Catholics of the Century. He serves on Dr. James Dobson's Focus on the Family Institute. The National Right to Life Committee awarded him their highest honor, the Proudly Pro-life Award. The Franciscan University of Steubenville bestowed on him an honorary doctorate, in recognition of his pro-life work. Fr. Pavone currently serves as President of the National Pro-life Religious Council, a coalition of groups from many different denominations working to end abortion. He is also Pastoral Director and Chairman of the Board of Rachel's Vineyard, the largest ministry in the world for healing after abortion. Check out Fr. Frank's other Social Networking sites:

My dear Fr Frank...Have a wonderful rest of the week. What do I expect for the labor I do for the Lord? For most of us, there is something inside of us that expects something in return for anything we do. When we open a door for someone who has his hands full, we expect a “Thank you,” at least. When we have worked hard as a volunteer, we expect someone to acknowledge our efforts, or recognize that we have given of our time, talents, money, etc. As a church, when we have reached out to a family in their time of need, perhaps we expect the family to be faithful in church attendance, or that they should find a way to give back to the church. But there is a principle in scripture that teaches us to give, expecting nothing in return. The Lord has assured us that our work for Him will be rewarded; yet that is not what should motivate us to do His work. It should be our desire to see a heart of Christ develop in us, and as such, to see a heart in us that says, “Even if I get nothing in return, I will serve and love the Lord.” "But when you give a banquet, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous." Luke 14:13-14. NIV.
Therefore, I, too, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and of your love for all the holy ones, do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him. May the eyes of your hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way. Ephesians 1:15–23

HELLO FATHER...GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR LABOR OF LOVE...SPEAKING OUT FOR THE INNOCENT ONES...WE LOVE YOU FOR IT...AND WOW IF I LOVE YOU FOR IT CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT THE LORD THINKS ABOUT IT?
Praise the Lord. I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. Great are the works of the Lord, studied by all who have pleasure in them. Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures for ever. He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and merciful. He provides food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant. He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations. The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy, they are established for ever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant for ever. Holy and terrible is his name! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who practice it. His praise endures for ever!
Thank you God for everything you have given us. For the wonderful gift of life and for those people around us, who makes our lives worth living. I would ask you to please guide us in all my endeavors, help us to make the right decisions in life that would may it be towards our will… Let not my will..But yours be done. It’s your love that makes us feel worth loving. AMEN
According to Roman Catholic tradition, today is celebrated as the birthday of the Virgin Mary. Mary gets a lot of hype - what with being the mother of Jesus and all =0) - but did you know that the idea of Mary is not just limited to Christianity? In Islamic tradition, she is the only woman mentioned in the Koran - Maryam in Arabic - and in Buddhism, Guan Yin is venerated as the Goddess of Mercy. She also has different faces for different cultures - in Poland she is the Black Madonna and in Mexico she is Our Lady of Guadalupe. Happy birthday, Mary! ============================================== PRAYER: Father of mercy, give your people help and strength from heaven. The birth of the Virgin Mary's Son was the dawn of our salvation. May this celebration of her birthday bring us closer to lasting peace. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

All Things Common: Dear Fr Frank... Have a blessed week. It seems that in the early church, there was a common practice held by its members. As they considered the needs of others as if their own, and practiced the principle of “love your neighbor as yourself,” they found it necessary to sell what they did not need in an effort to help meet the needs of others in the church. They did not gather for themselves riches and material excess. And they did not hesitate to see that which God had given them as something to be shared—not accumulated. In looking at the church today, one might wonder if this principle is one that is considered by its members. Do we think our excess to be ours alone—a blessing of abundance for us to thank God for and end it there? Or do we believe that God has given us more than we need to enable us to use it to meet the needs of others? Or is it a test to see what we will choose to do with all we have? One might then wonder…have we passed the test? "All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need." Acts 2:44-45, NIV. With Love and Care...
Outside Looking In: My dear Fr Frank... A man I know described how He felt that God viewed him. He said, “I feel like I am a dog on the floor beneath God’s table, scrounging for crumbs.” To Him, he was somehow undeserving of God’s full and rich blessings. It reminds me of a picture of a child with his face pressed against a window, looking into a room where he is not welcome. I confess there are days I feel like I’m on the outside looking in. I hear someone talk about Jesus, or quote scripture, and do it with such heartfelt expression; all the while I feel like I am missing something—or like I’ve lost something. Fortunately for us, our status in God’s house is not dependent upon our feelings. As His children, we do not have to stand outside, pressing our faces against the glass, looking in. All we have to do walk through the door, go in, sit at His table, and find in Him whatever might be missing. "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him." 1 John 3:1, NIV. With Love and Care..... . glitter-graphics.com
