Primal State are a female fronted heavy metal band, combining old-school raw metal with punchy rap vocals, killer guitar riffs and funky bass-lines.

The band was founded over ten years ago by Jay Moore, 25 (drums) and Tom Stedman, 26 (guitar). They began playing music together at school, and quickly progressed to writing and recording. They went through several changes of line-up and genre, before they were joined four years ago by Rozi Adam, 24 (lead-vocals) and Bert Nurse, 24 (bass), who wanted to join after seeing a live performance of a previous incarnation of the band. From these four members the music became more consistent, and developed into the current style. The most recent member is Pete Richardson, 21 (guitar), who has quickly begun to put his mark on the music and amp up the bands stage show... nutty fucker.

The band has recently had a change in line up and we are pleased to welcome our new guitarist Pete Richardson into the band. Expect new material and an improved stage show that can only be described as Primal State.. on steroids! Watch this space.
