   About The Prime Movers

THE PRIME MOVERS MuseumTHE PRIME MOVERS Museum - Starting point for the band that would later become Dread Zeppelin. The entire 1984 album released for the first time on CD and contains five previously unreleased bonus tracks: The long lost 1983 single, "Chances" and four amazing live tracks recorded on their tour supporting Big Country in 1986.

Birdcage Records 2006. New CD.
Price: $9.99

THE PRIME MOVERS STORY
20 years to the day of their last gig as support act on BIG COUNTRY'S 1986 UK Seer tour, The PRIME MOVERS: SEVERS RAMSEY and GARY PUTMAN, have reunited.

With new drummer GARY FALASCO, Ramsey and Putman promise a return to the stripped down, three piece, guitar-based psychedelic sound that made them a live favorite in the Los Angeles area.

In 1987, The Prime Movers fell from favor with their label Island Records and hit on the bright idea to record new music under an assumed name - the crazier the concept the better. Ramsey and Putman recruited some old friends and entered their own, self-induced Musical Witness Protection Program: DREAD ZEPPELIN was born. After selling over a million copies of their classic first album, Un Led ED, success of a different kind consumed them. Having traveled full circle, its now time to pick up where they left off.

Newly released and available now is the remastered first album MUSEUM (1985). Also in the works is a CD of all new material tentatively titled COUNSELOR -30-. Others scheduled for re-issue include the albums SPOOKED (1987), NAKED LADY GUITAR (1988) and a Live CD and DVD. Stay tuned!

PRIME MOVERS Live @ The Roxy Theater, Hollywood, CA 1986

THE PRIME MOVERS Spooked*THE PRIME MOVERS Spooked LP - Contains both of The PM's UK hits, "On The Trail" and "Dark Western Night." "...Night" features an amazing guest guitar appearance by the late Stuart Adamson of Big Country who lent his unique bagpipe guitar sound to the record.

Price: $4.99

THE PRIME MOVERS Museum*THE PRIME MOVERS Museum LP - Original LP version of the groundbreaking album. Produced by Jim Hill (Wall Of Voodoo). Sharp, Tuneful, slightly unpredictable... Far superior in content to much of the Gaelic garbage lying in the gutter of late. (SOUNDS UK).

Birdcage Records 1984. New Vinyl LP.
Price: $4.99

THE PRIME MOVERS T-Shirt*THE PRIME MOVERS T-Shirt - New version of the Prime Movers T-Shirt. All black with white lettering, Beef-T quality in XL size.

Hey Prime time! Nice tunes!
Just stoppin' by to drop off some BurroSpam from Road Apple Records....

My old friend King Gully was the first Rasta surfer on the wild North Shore of Barbados. This song is based on his true story. It's been described as a cross between "I Shot The Sheriff" and "Puff The Magic Dragon". :>) And there's ukulele under all those dang gitarz! I think you'll like it, as well as the shots of great surfing and amazing waves, all from Barbados!
Cheers, Rick Novak.
Enjoy....
