Brooke bent in.
brooke was an central suburban socialite. Born in Orewa to a successful family with strong community ties, and lived a mostly introverted and reclusive life. He spent a short time at Mount Holyoke Seminary before returning to his family's house in Orewa. Thought of as an eccentric by the locals, he became known for his penchant for gray clothing and his reluctance to greet guests or, later in life, even leave his room. Most of his friendships were therefore carried out by email.
Many of his drumbeats deal with themes of death and immortality, two subjects which infused his confusing Skype conversations.
Andrew Mcleod
is a painter from auckland who contributed fall/circle/bauhausesk-repetitive overdriven kraut-rockish baselines to the underground legend that was 'barge'.

Coco Solid are underground veteran electrorappers seducing and shaking live crowds while churning out banging beats. Combining Miami and Detroit booty-bass with their own trademark minimal electro, they're rhyming about everything; sex, science and the daily grind. With a string of world wide tours, 5 releases and a double album released late last year Coco Solid are off the hook and bound to make even the most kooky of us feel sane. In performance Coco will debut some exclusive new material. She’s off on another world tour in only a few weeks, catch her while you can!
"Her magnificent mongrel beats and eloquent satirising of sex, materialism and pop culture will have you thinking, laughing and dancing, all at the same time." - Grant Smithies - Sunday Star Times
"Coco Solid proves their wit, charm and downright sassiness... Awesome..." - Andrew Tidball - www. cheeseontoast. co. nz
The Ribbon is the striking new music project of Luke Munn and Campbell Birch. Incorporating keyboards, drum loops, guitar, vocals, and live visuals, this band captivates in a multiplicity of ways. Filled with heartfelt delicacy and awe inspiring intimacy, their music is ridiculously beautiful.
The release of their debut album (packaged in recycled cardboard) has created quite a stir, below are some reviews…
"Practically hypnotic... builds and builds upon itself, going where you don't expect before turning yet another direction...one of the best euphoric crescendos ever at about 2min 30 that just keeps going till you die. Or push repeat." - Andrew Tidball, Cheese On Toast
"This album made me shiver.... But scaring isn't really The Ribbon's intention. It is to kind of knock you a little to the left and make you listen just a little harder. Fans of Pig Out, TV On the Radio and anything dark-dance-electro will like this." – UnderTheRadar
The Juke Box is a live DJ set from Honey Claws, the Austin-based band comprised of three Americans and one New Zealander.
Honey Claws have recently been touring our major festivals (R&V and BDO) and releasing their brilliant new EP. With production credits from the team behind TV On The Radio and MGMT, the ‘Healer’ EP is filled with experimental big bass and psychedelic harmonies that tie in well with the current zeitgeist, offering a refreshingly revolutionary quality.
The Juke Box set puts another whole new spin on the Honey Claws concept. Consisting of the latest Ableton software, combined with a hodge-podge of analogue mixers, compressors, EQs, filters, and a bit of MCing, we can guarantee you’ve never seen Honey Claws like this before! www. myspace. com/honeyclawswww. honeyclaws. com

-------------------------------- The Teenagers - DJ set (London/Paris) --------------------------------
The Teenagers are the Hot new trio: Quinten Dalafon, Dorian Dumont, and Michael Szpinner. Their songs and remixes have graced the floors of Sohomo for nearly and a year and half and Sohomo is honoured to be hosting their official pre-party for their show on Friday. Famed for igniting the imagination of the music industry with their classic synth and bashful lyrics. This DJ set is not something to be missed, with devilishly good east end London fashions and a string of their own jaw dropping remixes they’ll turn you instantly into an adoring infatuated 16 year old girl, and leave you yelling “OMG I think I’m in Love”

Since he’s been in Auckland he’s played along side the best visiting international DJs and stunned the Auckland club scene with his ‘Sonic Tonik’ nights at Ink and Coherent.
