Princes of Babylon are heirs to a decaying kingdom. Unimpressed by current music trends, POB have forged a new sound that promises to bring the message back to the medium. Check it out...
This Philly-based group started making music back in 1998 as a six piece band. Today three of the original members remain; Dave Quicks on guitar, Katman on Bass, and Ry Pilla on drums continue to combine intelligent song writing with fat beats to produce music that moves the body as well as the mind. Products of the urban mosaic, POB blend funk, reggae, rock, hip-hop and blues into an uncommonly clear, organic vision. The style serves the song, not vice versa.
Princes of Babylon have toured the Northeast extensively and branched out to the south and west. From Maine to Colorado, POB wins fans wherever they go with their energetic performances. Three distinct writing and vocal styles allow them to connect with audiences of all kinds, evidenced by the variety of notable talent with which they have shared the stage. From beat-box breakdowns to three part a-cappella harmony to inspired instrumental improvisations, Princes of Babylon are a real triple threat.
