a). A bunch of people with musical instruments, collectively known as a Band
b). A monster on the path to world domination
c). Completely out of control
d). The Best Thing since sliced bread, and a damn fine little pop/rock outfit at that, or,
e). All of the above
P1.5 is many things to many people but the long of the short of it is, she started as a solo project for singer/songwriter/etc Sarah-Jane Wentzki, but was soon hijacked by little green people from Harlans World and sent to work in the salt mines of Jupiter...or, instead, was joined by a variety of extremely skilled and delightful guest musicians for a number of albums before the holy trinity emerged, evidently, as; the aforementioned SJ, with Richard Andrew on drums, production duties and general silliness, and Ben Grounds on Bass, occasional guitar and being the really nice, really sensible, really healthy one.
And on the third day (or fourth album) they became a band
Having previously released three critically acclaimed albums ("At Long Last" "The Truth" and "Vous Je Vous"), toured nationally supporting Josh Pike, toured New Zealand, supported the likes of M Ward and Francioz Breut and been short listed for the Australian Music Prize, P1.5 have emerged as a band synonymous with integrity and creativity in the recording studio, and an equally impressive and wholly surprising live act.... The fourth studio album is currently in production, but in the meantime;

I'm joolz's aforementioned friend and I've heard from her that you're really good live especially and I was just wondering whether you would be playing anywhere around Brunswick soonishly?
Joolz has pretty much made me love you, not as much as she does yet, but I'm on my way :D
Thanks, bye

For a month of Sundays P1.5 are emerging from the hibernation of recording and general wintery anti-social behavior to play a residency at the Edinburgh Castle in Brunswick.
Mostly SJ is on her lonesome, but there will be some rock and roll with Richard on drums. There is talk of pulling the "full" band together at the end.
Very special guests for the 6th and the 13th of September are (respectively) the lovely miss Laura Jean and the hauntingly captivating stylings of Alice Hutchison .
There will be new stuff, old stuff, quiet and loud stuff...plenty of...
stuff...
And why? Well there's a single coming out of course. Yep. The album is kinda done, and the first track "You" will be hitting the streets during the first week of September, with a national tour (of sorts) to follow in October and November.
It's free, from 5-7 Sundays in September. How could you not?
Hi You have the most amazing voice. i especially love Burn,I'm onto something good,Theres got to be more than this&Inadequate response. Do you have any upcomming shows?in Melbourne?
