Princess Superstar’s first performance as Princess Superstar was in 1994 at the Pyramid (where incidentally Madonna also had one of her first shows) on Avenue A in New York City’s East Village- at 2 am with 12 people in the audience.
Now she has the honor of entertaining hundreds of thousands all over the world, as a MC/Singer/Producer and a DJ. With 5 albums under her belt and 2 top chart hits, her passion for rapping, singing and making music continues as she makes her sixth album “The New Evolution.”
Her influences are rooted deep in her upbringing as child with hippy parents, who gave birth to her in Washington Heights, NYC in the 70’s and would play her Stevie Wonder and The Beatles nonstop. Some years later, she started recording on her $90 Emerald Green Elektra guitar into her Tascam 4 track recorder, sampling loops on tape decks and rapping, and made her first cassette called “Mitch Betta Get My Bunny” - a play on the pop catch phrase of the early 90’s Bitch Betta Get My Money!
She then went on to record several albums & numerous collaborations with amazing musicians and producers, such as Kool Keith, Prince Paul of De La Soul, The Prodigy, Arthur Baker (who made Planet Rock with Afrika Baambata), Stuart Price, Armand Van Helden, & Moby. Her critical acclaim is tremendous- she has graced the covers of many magazines including the Village Voice, International DJ, and Urb.
Her favorite way to see a new city is on a tour bus or airplane, and then going to the local organic grocery store and buying vegetables.
From a career spanning 15 years, her time is spent recording, doing yoga, making green vegetable juice, meditating and collecting royalty checks from her 2 top hits, “Perfect Exceeder” & “Bad Babysitter”.
Latest News: Princess Superstar is proud to be on the legendary Grandmaster Flash’s new album released Feb 2009 which also features Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Snoop Dogg and other hip hop legends. The New Evolution is the latest record she’s composing!

"A refreshing alternative to blinkered mainstream hip hop stars." THE INDEPENDANT
"A bass- pumped hip pop/greasy electro funk, with savvy and dazzling deft rhymes." TIME OUT
"Bold, imaginative, bringing much-needed wit to the electro scene." ZOO
"What's most brilliant are her lyrics, which are laugh-out-loud funny. For where other female rappers do super-explicit sex rhymes, and mirror the witless bravado of their male counterparts, Princess Superstar spins an altogether more playful, ironic line of tease. If her turntables ever seize up, a career in stand-up beckons."
