1 John 2
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
HEBREWS 13:3 Remember those in prison, as if you were there yourself. Remember also those being mistreated, as if you felt their pain in your own bodies.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE...This group has been created to give support to women, men, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, brothers, sisters, friends, or anyone else that has a loved one in jail. We know how much pain it can cause to have someone that you loves in jail.
We have lived through the experience. We know that it can be very hard and many times we feel alone in the process. However, we are here because "you are not alone" in this rough journey.
This is a support group, is a place where you can receive encouragement, share your experiences with others, a place where to can get informed on certain issues, and to create awareness that inmates are people with families that loved them. We are a community of people that have something in common: a loved one in jail.
We are bilingual English/Spanish. We are sponsored by the Reconciliation Center/Centro de Reconciliacion, a different Christian community for the people

I just got my new book off the ground (The Storm Master, Letting God take control),and I'm praying that it will reach out to all victims of domestic violence, drug addiction and inmates (since I've been all three). Blessings to you! Sue

If I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing...~ 1 Corinthians 13:2 NIV
We keep saying that relationships are more important to us than anything else, but our actions don't show it. We often shortchange our friends and loved ones for the sake of money or 'getting ahead'. Relationships are like flowers; if you don't nurture and protect them, they die. That's why Paul writes: "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit… look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philp 2:3-4 NIV). Sometimes it takes heartache and crisis to remind us how irreplaceable the people in our lives are.
One author writes: "I have spent long hours in the Intensive Care waiting room watching anguished people, listening to urgent questions: 'Will my husband make it? Will my child walk again? How do you live without your companion of 30 years?' The Intensive Care waiting room is different from any other place in the world. And the people who wait are different. They can't do enough for each other. No one is rude. The distinctions of race and class melt away. The garbage man loves his wife as much as the university professor loves his, and everyone understands this. Each person pulls for everyone else. In the Intensive Care waiting room the world changes. Vanity and pretence vanish. The universe is focused on the doctor's next report. If only it will show improvement. Everyone knows that loving someone else is what life is all about. Could we learn to love like that, if we realised that every day of life is like a day in the Intensive Care waiting room?"

John 16:33, Jesus says: In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Trouble may be mowing down everything around us, but in Jesus, we can stand and not be cut down. ~ I know that's right!! Stay blessed!! Love, Aimee

Today's Scripture
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” (Psalm 84:11)
Believing in God and trusting Him is easy when everything is going well, and there doesn’t seem to be anything bothering you. But to truly declare God’s goodness even when trials and confusion surround you is really trusting God. God is so good to you, He wants you to grow, mature, and learn from so many different situations.
So even when things don’t make sense, keep a positive attitude knowing that God has your best interests at heart. You don’t always have to figure it out on your own, or go around living with a chip on your shoulder toward life. You can choose to trust God in everything, and live freely experiencing His blessing in your life!
A Prayer for Today
God, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness. My prayer today is that I might learn to truly trust You and Your goodness in all circumstances.
In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
