The Prison Book Project is a secular, volunteer collective that distributes books free-of-charge to prisoners in New England and Texas.
We are dedicated to offering men and women behind bars the opportunity for self-empowerment, education, and entertainment that reading provides.
During July and August we are open 1-4p on the following Sundays: July 6th, July 20th, August 3rd, August 17th, and August 31st.
Come by Sundays to join us and check out what we do!
Directions:
North Hadley Congregational Church
243 River Dr.
Hadley, MA
Look at a map
The church is on Route 47 in Hadley. Route 47 crosses Route 9 in Hadley, at the stop light where Mr. Donut is. At the light, turn on to Route 47 north and follow it for about 5 miles. The church will be on your right.
Walk up the long sidewalk to the front door of the church and look for us either in the large room to the right of the
foyer or one flight up in our book inventory room.

and join our email list for announcements here.
We can also be found on Facebook.
We use BookMooch, a book trading site, to obtain books for prisoners. You can donate points to us through the site that we can then use to obtain books.
