Interests

  • General

My personal interests are reading, sailing, painting, research, cooking, tarot card reading. I would like to paint a deck of cards and have my husband John Greschner interpret the paintings. I would like to build Trauma Clinics for folks who have been in prison for over 20 years of their lives. I think there are too many lifers in the prison system. I am interested in building a trauma clinic that is modeled like a farm. I have some good ideas. And I think I can change the world. I am also interested in helping others to become successful in their efforts to help prisoners.
  • Music

My favorite music is from the 60's Joan Baez, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Bob Dylan, Willy Nelson, John Lee Hooker, the Doors. David Peal and the Lower East Side. The Yard Birds. I like Classical music. I love Mozart. I love the music of Joni Mitchell. Woodstock and Blue are my favorites. Joan Baez wrote this song and it has been one of the reasons I stood up against the prison system and the death penalty! Father, yes, I am a prisoner Fear not to relay my crime The crime is loving the forsaken Only silence is shame And now I'll tell you what's against us An art that's lived for centuries Go through the years and you will find What's blackened all of history Against us is the law With its immensity of strength and power Against us is the law! Police know how to make a man A guilty or an innocent Against us is the power of police! The shameless lies that men have told Will ever more be paid in gold Against us is the power of the gold! Against us is racial hatred And the simple fact that we are poor My father dear, I am a prisoner Don't be ashamed to tell my crime The crime of love and brotherhood And only silence is shame With me I have my love, my innocence, The workers, and the poor For all of this I'm safe and strong And hope is mine Rebellion, revolution don't need dollars They need this instead Imagination, suffering, light and love And care for every human being You never steal, you never kill You are a part of hope and life The revolution goes from man to man And heart to heart And I sense when I look at the stars That we are children of life Death is small
  • Movies

My favorite films are Reds, the Mist of Avalon, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and Braveheart.
  • Television

I like to watch TV shows about women. I like to watch shows that make a social statement. I love Opra. I really like to watch Amy Goodman.
  • Books

I love reading research books, or any other academic literature. I like Stephen King's style of writing, and I like to read about history through the means of autobiographies and biographies. I like reading books about cosmology and psychic abilities.
  • Heroes

My hero's are my husband John Greschner, Tommy Silverstein, Ronald Del Raine, Leonard Peltier, Barry Byron Mills, T.D. Bingham, Edgar Hevle any earth firster, any actor who creates films that are social statements against, war, poverty, burning / cutting down the rain forest, the prison system, and our environment. Such as Medicine Man. And the men on this list: The John Greschner Defense Committee/The Prison Educational Foundation This committee is dedicated to freeing prisoners who have been incarcerated for more than 20 years. Both Federal and State justice system hand out sentences that are unjust and need to be reduced. All of these prisoners are asking for clemency and pardons, and/or commutations. except for the State Prisoners. They are asking for sentence reductions and freedom. We are asking for their freedom. Also my husband John needs letters written for compassionate release and so do others on this list. Please send in your letters of support for their freedom to the officials listed below. AdvoCare's Family and Youth Defense Fund

AdvoCare's Family and Youth Defense Fund is established as a legal defense fund using AdvoCare's current tax exempt status and charitable purpose under their Family Bound program. The purpose of the fund would be to provide assistance in general actions, individual cases, or for filing amicus briefs where the outcome of such cases may effect our members and the general public in areas related to our organizations charitable purpose, goals, and description of activities. The fund, and all donations to the fund, would be governed and administered under the direction of AdvoCare's Board of Directors.

Your contributions are certainly needed and appreciated.

I LOVE your thinking girlfriend! Well here's one for you if we can get enough Ca. Inmate families together in this coming month we can march or have a sit in at the Capitol.
    CDCR REGULATION CHANGES

CDCR has issuedthe following notices regarding changes in regulation for use of force.  These changes come largely in response to incidences at Pelican Bay wherein correctional officers absed inmates while other COs lied to cover it all up.  Most of the changes are largely to definitions andassigned responsibilities, but some are significant.

There will be opportunity for public comment on December 2nd, in Sacramento.  Comments should include the statement, "The proposed regulation changes and accompanying analysis fail to address the issue of," and then provide the item, such as, for example, added lack of reliable method for receiving and evaluating complaints of misconduct (and then provide your explanation of why).

Of particular concern is the fact that the abuses at Pelican Bay were allowed to continue because there was no external reporting requirement to any body (such as some for of a citizens review committee).  Nothing would keep officers from lying (again) to cover up any of their illegal activites.

To view the changes in their entirety, review the following information:

I commend you ideals here. There are so many problems within the system that I don't think people think about what happens after inmates are released. Some of them, that is all they've ever known, and it's easier for them to re-offend and live like they always have then try to make it in the real world again.

My web site is focusing on one man's journey through the Federal System. He has blogged some serious truths, all backed up with documented proof. A new warden took over the prison he was at, and within 5 days, Katfish was transferred because of their embarrassment and possible lawsuit. Tales From The Cells focuses on pen pals, also on prisoners telling their stories, which is kind of unique and interesting, we have lots of males, trying to get the females to open up and jump on board. Anyhow, come and check out the actual web site. When you click the link, it will tell you that you are leaving MySpace and yadda yadda, but it's worth it to check out if you are interested in this type of thing. I would love any input you have, any contribution you could make to the page, ideas, suggestions, I'm all ears. We hit a million viewers about 4 months ago, and reset the counters as I switched main writers.

If anybody has a female friend/family member interested in sharing their story or putting up an add, please message me their info, we are doing the first 500 free.
