A Musical Journey
Priya Kumar is no stranger to the Hindi music scene. With 15 years of singing experience, Priya has been pursuing her musical journey since her childhood. She is not a professional singer, nor does she sing to be a top notch artiste. "I sing for my family, my close ones. I sing for good causes," she says. But she believes that will change once she has the opportunity to record the song of her dreams. "It can be anything, because I love all types of music," she asserts.
Hindi music is her forte, but Priya loves music from different regions equally well. She can sing in several Indian languages, as well as Italian, French and English. She has a knack for learning foreign languages, and recalls singing songs in Hebrew during her elementary school days. It all began when she joined choir. "We had to sing a song called 'Love in Any Language', and I sang the solo part- "I love you" in French, Hebrew, Spanish, Italian, Arabic and English!" she recalls fondly. A few years later, she began exploring ghazals. "Ghazals are so romantic, listening to them make me want to fall in love," she says. See her blog for her latest song recording in Hindi. Here's wishing her all the best.
