Pro-Choice was a 3-piece Hardcore punk band from Hays, KS. Summer 2004 - Winter 2008.
We have songs that cover topics including, but not limited to: religion, politics, the army, drinking blood, burning someones eyes with a soldering iron, school, drugs, white trash, Clerks the animated series, Stealing Harvard, Short Circuit, killing the president, jocks, vandalizing things, factory work, abortion, fucking dead guys, people who build there houses way too far back on the lot, attention whores who think mental illness is fashionable, and then theres some songs that really dont have a meaning because i just made the lyrics up as we went, and over time the gibberish became real words, but still didnt end up meaning much.
Albums:
2005: TD/PC/EP - Split EP with Tactical Defiance. out of print
2006: Wanking the Dead - 12 song Demo. Out of Print
2007: Dress for the Occasion - 16 song Full Length

yea for sure dito man. im so sad to see pro choice coming to an end and i am honored to have been on the bill for the last show. seriously when it comes down to it pro choice was probably the biggest musical influence i have ever had in my life and i would probably not be doing what i am now if it wasnt for you guys.
To Pro Choice: I would like to thank the band one more time for letting us play the final show at the back alley. I feel much honored to be in the lineup, on the fliers, ect. I want to tell you I really do think Pro Choice has really gone further then any band in Hays. You have played for years, came back from a handful of western cities in one piece, and created the only venue our generation (and perhaps any other) has seen in Hays and put out several albums. Nick and Dude, you have brought so much music to me over the years, id like to thank you, and I will in person too. I have so many memories of watching so many bands that you have through our small, ungrateful town of Hays. Truly, against all odds. You have made me a very developed musician through this, and I have seen GREAT bands thanks to you two. Just to name of view, The Aka's, Stoli and the beers, Dirty South Revolutionaries , the Shake Up, The Scarred, La Dispute, and Jon Crocker to name some of my personal favorites. I can’t even imagine the things I would have done with the absence of your presence in our town.
To nick as a drummer, playing with you in high school, when we had our "thrash sessions" is still, some of the best guitar I have, or will ever play. A lot of the riffs that I got to use in Juicehead our from those sessions, and this is very special to me.
I want you two to know that I cannot wait to see what you have done for the people in this in town come back to you. The tireless effort you’ve had, the time you let people have to have a positive time will be not be forgotten through me.
Thank you so much for the past 6 years (at least) of encouraging me to play, listen and set up shows. I wish the best for you, and want you to know you had this influence on my life.
Thanks for the show fellas, we had a blast... hope a new place to play opens up for everyone there... If you guys have any new "projects" come up, drop us a line and we'll put you on here. Best of luck!!!
I cant believe you guys are almost done. Thats crazy. I hope i can make it up for your show that would be awesome. If you guys ever need anything hit me up.
that makes me sad let me know when the last show is i may be in a wheel chair but i can't miss the last pro choice show. I know i've kinda been out of the music scene but still consider you guys brothers.
Hey guys. I got your cd a long assed time ago in Denver when you played with DTYD. I'd say keep up the good work but it looks like you are disbanding in November?? Why is that?
