We're a group of filmmakers from the Dallas area. Most of us had been friends from college and beyond and were stuck working in and on commercials for the most part. Not a bad gig, but not what we ever really set out to do as filmmakers. With no resources, money or an experienced crew, we decided to make a feature? Holt and Will penned the film and we pulled our band of brothers together to make it happen. On our limited funds, we wanted to put every dollar on the screen. We shot on film...yes, film! Super 16 to be exact and 95% of our all of the rain and gun effects are live. The film has a ton of production value , but the shoot itself was hardcore guerilla filmmaking. Our core group quit their day jobs and opted for weekly paychecks of $114 and a seemingly unlimited supply of Taco Bell and BBQ. We had $0 for post production, but never settled for anything less than the best of what we could do.
We got 'er done finally and have done pretty well in the international festival circut. Bruce Fletcher at the San Fran Indie Fest gave us our first shot and from there, we got invites from around the world. We've already released in most of the Asian and European markets for the last year and done pretty well. One market has actually released a Collectors Edition. We finally release here in early 2007! Anyway, that's us.
