SIXTEEN MONTHS AGO TO THE DAY
We at Varulven Records are restoring many of the multi-tracks - some of Jimmy's work was hit by the flood in April 17, 2007. Never fear, we are having these tapes transferred to DVD. It's been an enormous amount of work, Varulven President personally moving about 8-10 tons of material from the storage place (which we were paying close to 3K a year just to store things in) to a newer one with more protections in place.
Of course if we just stuck the stuff in a garage somewhere it probably would've been safer...go figure. you spend the money and the millionaire running the storage facility refused to call all the tenants until the water was gone.
Now three insurance companies are passing the buck and yours truly is currently paying for the restoration (along with the new storage space)...
People have no idea what it costs to preserve great music.
More about this soon...but we are working on the material and we are talking to Rob Fraboni about mixing these legendary masters as well.
