Grandpa/Prof. Oates is waiting to be bankrupted by any major illness. Kudos to my former health insurer. Don't choke on your profits! Posted at 9:42 AM Nov 20 view more
Since the topic has come up lately in converstions with my former students
and with some of my keyboard cronies, here are a couple of Wikipedia
articles that some of you may find useful or humorous or both. Enjoy!
Who I'd like to meet:
Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, Paul Dirac, Stephen Hawking, Werner Heisenberg, Murray Gell-Mann, Harold "Buddy" Rorschach (met him!), Marie Curie, Maria Montessori (Are they on MySpace?)
Thought for the year:
He who knows not and knows not he knows not is a fool; shun him.
He who knows not and knows he knows not is simple; teach him.
He who knows and knows not he knows is asleep; wake him.
He who knows and knows he knows is wise; follow him.
Wonderful!! It's been pure bliss. The kids love it, I love it, the husband loves it. My stress level is to an all time low--it's great :) How is post grandbaby life treating you guys?
Congrats Papa Oates! She's beautiful and she sure is lucky to have you as a grandpa. I'm sure you'll spoil her rotten. Miss you. I promise to come see you soon.
