I made my myspace layout using Pimp-My-Profile.com | | Heroes | "She brought great joy to all who knew her and to millions who knew her only as a great artist. She gave unselfishly of time and talent to serve her government in peace and war. She loved her country. She is and always will be a star, one we shall never forget, nor cease to be grateful to."

About me:

Born in Indiana, I was eight years old when my parents divorced, and my mother took me and my two older brothers to L.A. to start a new life. At age twelve I was spotted playing baseball in the street by director Allan Dwan who cast me as a tom-boy in "A Perfect Crime". Bitten by the movie bug, I went on to amateur theatre, small and then larger roles in Fox westerns and comedies. In 1926, an auto accident scarred the left side of my face, which was repaired by plastic surgery. After recuperating, I went to Max Sennett and made 13 two-reelers in 18 months. This was followed by full-length features at Pathe and then Paramount, where I became one of Hollywood's highest paid stars. In my personal life, I became noted for my coarse language, practical jokes, lavish parties and my genuine concern for all people, down to the lowliest crew members.

My romance with Pa started on January 25, 1936 at the formal ball called The White Mayfair Ball. This was the first time we had met since the making of our only movie together No Man of Her Own. We were married, in March 1939, after Pa was separated from his wife Rhea Langham. We bought and lived in a 20 acre ranch in San Fernando Valley. We weren't Hollywood Socialites; we weren't glamourous; we just wanted a simple life out of Hollywood's bright lights. When I was returning from a War bond drive in my home state of Indiana, my plane crashed outside of Las Vegas in 1942, killing my mother and I and 20 other passengers.
