Initially formed in the late 90's in order to be some sort of Black/Death metal project, Profan goes to sleep for a few years until the awakening in 2004 gives birth to a new monster under the same identity. Profan is no longer Black or Death Metal. It may have Rock/Metal components, but in its core the living essence is mainly made of slow-driven raw sound. Taking some influences of Doom, Drone, Noise or free improvisation, some rehearsals take place, in which some recordings are done. Some are or will be available for free through the Internet, some will be edited in low price items in underground labels.
Profan is a eliptical sonic behemoth, directly from its source to the receptor, as a spoken transmition, comunicating whatever we want. Expect nothing except our will and mood.
After a period of dormancy, two new members have been admited and the beast has risen again. "Monolith" was recorded for the Falésia 2 Compilation and new material is being prepared!
