Professor Sonic utilizes an unusual mixture of LoFi & HiFi gear to make unique and experimental electronic sound sculptures. These range from dark industrial or upbeat techno music to noise and ambient electronic soundscapes. Utilizing anything from analog, to digital, to software, to hand made instruments- nothing limits the sources or tools. Professor Sonic seeks to bring more magick into people's lives. Major musical inspirations are Coil, Tool, The Doors, NIN, Instagon, & Bill Laswell, but really there are 100s of electronica and experimental influences that have inspired this project and are too numerous to name here. Some Artists, Characters, & Philosophers that have inspired this project are: Austin Osman Spare, Fredrich Nietzsche, "The Absent Minded Professor", Hakim Bey, Lao Tzu, Nikola Tesla, Wilhelm Reich, Merlyn, William S. Burroughs, Lucifer, Albert Einstein, Uncle Chuckie, Kali/Shakti, H.R. Giger, and Chief Niwot.
In essence this project is magickal...both in the
improvisational and in the specific results sense. Some pieces just
come through, while others are carefully crafted spells. Some pieces
make no sense at all, while others take on a sense of universal
