Prograss.net - Swiss Tech Metal
|
| |
| 1997 - 2007: History |
| |
| Formed in 1997, Prograss was rapidly known as a somewhat different monster-machine
of techno rock. As a consequence of the smart mixture of live played Rock/Metal
elements and "on-the-edge" techno loops, the band meets a broad-banded audience:
techno lovers and metal heads as well. |
| |
|
The 5 members of Prograss play with sheer energy, which makes the heartbeat
of everyone who likes hard music go faster. On the other hand, there are
loops to dance to. In switzerland, Prograss played as a supporting act
for germans "Such A Surge" as well as for the U.S. band "OverKill". Moreover,
they played at the swiss music fair. Apart from other gigs (various open
airs) this are the most outstanding showcases.
|
| |
| In 2005, Prograss appeared on the Sampler "Heavy Metal Nation II" with
"Spotswatch". In late 2005, Prograss started to build their own little studio,
where the recording sessions for the latest record FINALIZE started, which
is about to be released in the next couple of weeks. |
| |
| 2008: FINALIZE |
| |
| With “Finalize” the band has set the finishing mark behind a 10 year period
of creating and building up. Fine lyrics combined with a x-large rock sound
supported by the Prograss-typical Technopop and authentic groove samples.
This intoxicating mixture is taking the listener to a journey into sound
one never has heard before. |
| |
| Impulsive, thrilling, dynamic, merciless and melancholic as well the
eleven tracks are rocking the listener. Prograss have found their own unique
style which hardly can be defined. Or do you have a label for “Techno -
Pop - Rock - Metal”? The bilingual lyrics are entertaining though being
critical to state of the present time. |
| |
| It’s a must for every lover of music to take a listen and will surely
be stirred by this special mixture between the english and the italian language.
Melodic and if necessary brutal lead and backing vocals are giving a strong
statement to every song on the record. The drums are grooving straight and
tight, they are the driving engines of each Prograss-song. The guitars are
played on the cutting edge. The synthesizers and samples add characteristic
attributes every here and there and give the whole sound more colour and
depth. |
