1990 - Patrick Poullain and Tibo Luc alias the L&P Gang famously met behind the turntables of Le Pallas.
Their mutual passion gave birth to an explosive alchemy which shook dance floors everywhere.
A few years later, Le jardin, l’Abordage, Le Flame and Le Fish became part of Tibo’s Lyon period
simultaneously Pat engineered a pioneering multimedia experience on the Cote d’Azur creating
an irresistible blend of computer engineering and musical finesse.
2002 - Tibo unites with his partner in crime on the French Riviera becoming the godfathers
of the club circuit including in their entourage The Avenue, Tantra, The Loft, Sky Beach,
Love and Palm Beach releasing a signature mix “Tantra compliation” produced by Happy Music and
distributed by a discreet Japanese music company called Sony.
2005 – 15 mixing years and hundreds of turntables later, in some of Europe’s most significant
clubs, erupted the irrepressible urge to distill their own unique sound. Electro influences
spanned Ben Watt, Daft Punk and Mylo, and were infused with the funk, pop and rock sounds of Hendrix,
Depeche Mode and the legendary Funkadelic.
Pat and Tibo, audacious, innovative and pioneering cut the underground single “Respect”. Since
then they have released over 40 scorching titles spanning house, deep, downtempo,
smooth and give birth to the intoxicating Prohibisound.
Not content to simply produce an inspiring range of raucus funkatronic audible content
Prohibisound also export their philosophy organizing musical events
throughout Europe. Collaborations, networks and influences have Prohibisound
evolving through the artistic spectrum.
Prohibisound began with friendship and is fuelled by passion. Let transcendence begin…
