Project Luz seeks to create a sense of pride in community & awareness about social issues present in the lives of youth living in disadvantaged communities throughout Mexico. With the help of independent photojournalists & volunteers of varying nationalities & viewpoints, we provide youth with photography equipment, instruction & resources. We understand photojournalism as a powerful tool for community self-reflection and empowerment.

Esperanza 4 U is having its 1st Annual “Rice & Beans” project. With Thanksgiving around the corner we are looking forward to collecting donations to feed at least 400 of the starving families in Tijuana, Baja California and Rosarito Mexico. America’s neighbor Mexico is home to large numbers of people without education, access to natural resources, and means to survive or sustain themselves. We are asking for your help in this project, we know that many people would like to help but don’t have the time or money, so here is your chance to make a difference.
