Hehheh... when you go to edit your MySpace profile, ya click on the Interests & Personality section right? Then you click on the Interests section and MySpace expects you to list a number of things one is interested in. Then you move on to Music, Movies, Television, Heroes, and Books. Now consider that your interest include "music, movies, television, heroes, and books," wouldn't it be redundant to restate that? I suspect one is suppose to include, inside this box, something that is not outlined in this section. Well, you know what

You know how people tell you they listen to everything... but they exclude country, jazz, and soul. Well, I listen to everything and I'm not people. Blues, Classical, Country, Dance, Easy Listening, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jazz, Metal, New Age, Pop, Punk, R&B, Reggae, Rock, and Soundtracks/Musicals are all included.
Favorities? Well, favorities are simply those one deems significant and limited to those that one has heard. If I were to list a group of names/bands/groups, it would only be those that are significant at this moment; that list would be a lie, because "at this moment" is always changing.

See, I could list a title of movies that I enjoy... but in reality I could not name them all. Consider this, I find value in my dollar. I wouldn't pay for something that I didn't deem worthy. If you couldn't tell already, I like variety.

In all honesty, I haven't read as much as I should. But, has anyone ever really read as much as one is suppose to? And if there is a limit, is one suppose to stop after s/he is considered "well-read?"
Depends on how narrow your definition of Hero is... Are we talking heroes mythology? fantasy? reality? living? dead? What a vague question, must deserve a vague answer.

Make the Music Video Matter, MMVM, is a movement to bring the art form back into focus. The music videos played on today's media streams do not belong to the songs they are generated for. Far too often are the videos common and conventional, long gone are innovative projections that successfully marry lyrical content to visual art. MMVM takes a critical look at the marriage between music and video, in hopes to return to successful union.
The music video is not what it once was, nor is it what it could be. Once it was seen as a mini-advertisement for the artist and their album. It was an experimental forum in which to try new ideas in film without spending a large budget. It was an aide to help understand the lyrical skill of the artist. It can still be all those things, we need to return to the essence of the music video.

Remember the "Walk This Way" video and its influence to the emergence of Hip-Hop on a national/world stage. Remember the video for "Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang" and how it showcased the lifestyle of the West Coast--low-riders, picnics and parties.
There have been other artists that have furthered the genre of the music video. What makes "Thiller" great is the simplistic concept of a music video that dictates a movie, or thriller. Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around.../...Comes Around" is a 9 minute feature that tells an intricate story of love, infidelity, betrayal, and karma--what goes around, comes around.

Direction - Non-technical production of scene, visualizing the lyrics
Cinematography - lighting and camera aspects, capturing the story
Choreography - dance writing/composition, performing the role
Special Effects - adding beyond the natural, editing the performance
The [Other] Blog: It's for self-expression. Same as any artist describes themselves through music or movies, in my blog, I write.
I signed up for a blog because the whole idea of having something where I am able to speak my mind to the masses is altogether too intriguing not to do. And for those that want to listen, they have a chance to receive these messages that I send out into cyberspace. There's also a chance to explain myself... hopefully, this will give me an opportunity to further my own thoughts and possibly influence someone else's.

Kimle tanışmak isterim: A music video that successfully unites the music with the video.
The reason why I'm here is to advice, critique, develop, edit, finalize, and further any and all works of art, including mine, but especially others. The people I would like to meet are individuals struggling for the same thing. If you're a musician and like the analysis you read on my blog, ask me to advise you on your next video. If you're a screenwriter and having some trouble with a scene, let me give you a different perspective. Like I said, I'm here for art's integration with the rest of the world and most of my work is social.
My advice (and opinion) cost you nothing, except a little effort--so just ask!

wow, I have to agree with Chanda. You have an interesting Interests section. It reminds me of someone playing "who wants to be a millions air" where for every one question given, the player has to give a testimony or a mini speach before they come to an final answer. Mr. Carl, you are a thinker. you'd make a challenging student, were you the smart one in class with all the complicated questions? yeah, those are the annoying ones. The smart asses. ;) PS, i hate the security code inserts everytime i leave a comment on ur page. Again, that just reiterates the annoyance the smartasses behold! now go do some dishes.
