This music is recorded fresh. These tracks are made by Sandra using a Variax guitar, an Axiom 61 Midistation, an MXL 900 condenser mic and Garageband and Riffworks software. Sandra writes all the music, records the music and mixes the songs all by herself. Sandra is even writing this band information. If she doesn't do it herself no one else will.
Influences
If David Bowie were the only influence that would explain it all. However some of Sandra's influences are John Wesley Harding, Neil Finn, Angela McCluskey, Thomas Dolby, Elliott Smith, Crooked Stilo, Jeff Buckley, Peaches, Liam Finn, Trent Reznor, Julia Fordham, The Sundays, Gail Ann Dorcey, Adrian Belew, Wilco and the beautiful Olivia Newton-John
Happiness comes up from inside the bottom of your stomach and it pushes out through all the awful, negative things inside as it ruptures from your throat and splatters on everyone within five feet in front of you as this music plays.
Sandra began listening to music when she was a baby. The first song she ever danced to was December 1963 (Oh What A Night). Sandra can remember the first song that she ever related to personally. When Will I See You Again by The Three Degrees struck a chord in the 2 year old little girl's mind because it made her think about missing her father who had been deported to Mexico. It was the first song Sandra ever sang along to and the first song to ever make her cry. Unbeknownst to Sandra, she was Emo before Emo was a stain on a teenage boys tight black pants.
Dang that's a lot of candy!!! Sounds like some good trick-or-treat'n. I will have to email you my phone # (lost my cell phone w/contacts back in May). But I may be in LA next month. I bounce around these days, but certainly if we're both in town at the same time I'd love to hook up!!!!!
Sandra- I just got your bracelet a couple of days ago. I was sooo touched. Sorry I didn't get in touch with you right away, but I got it on the last day of school and I promptly got sick a few hours later... then had stomach flu for the last day and a half. I am finally recovering. Again- your thoughtfulness is so sweet. I have been wearing the bracelet non-stop and will have it on at the memorial tomorrow. A piece of you will be there, my friend. Much love...Muah! J. :)
Sandra- I am in Florida on vacation, so unfortunately, I can't make it up north for the funeral. See the bulletin I posted for more information about Danny's memorial. xox- J.
Hey, Thank you very much for checking out my music and adding me! I hope all your dreams come true by making yourself happy! Keep doing what you love and inspiring others to do the same!!
Hey all things are great! Constantly busy though! Two kids will do that to you. The plumbing is finally back to normal, so that is good. I didn't get to go to the car show, it was too hectic. Next time though!
Unbeknownst to Sandra, she was Emo before Emo was a stain on a teenage boys tight black pants. I love you Sandra... that is so YOU! Enjoyed listening to Hwy. 38, by the way! Have a blessed day. Jeanné
